    Would like some advice pls

    Hi
My DH and I have 3 sons aged 5, 3 and 10 months. We were thinking of TTC around Christmas this year but just today after a heart to heart DH said he'd like to start in August Considering he seemed to be very on the fence regarding having a fourth I want to run with this decision while he's so onboard. My issue is: he doesn't want me to sway. AT. ALL.

I have iron deficiency anaemia so have to take iron supplements and I have been sporadically taking a multi vitamin (which I know is so unfriendly to a pink sway but I feel that the 3 pregnancies in 5 years has really depleted my stores and was hoping to take the vits for several more months before Xmas ttc) I'm also currently on Zoloft 50mcg for anxiety.

So with that said, here's what I'm thinking (and I'd really appreciate any advice or tips thanks):

    - cardio beginning tomorrow. 60+ minutes 5/6 days per week. I currently walk at a brisk pace approx 4km 4-5 days a week pushing a double stroller but the cardio would be exercise biking on top of the 4km walking.
    - I don't want to do hardcore LE as he will cop onto that immediately so I was thinking of giving up eggs, limit meat or hopefully manage to go vegetarian, limiting meals to 2-3 daily with no snacking, lots of coffee and diet sodas. I was obsessed with watching every morsal that passed my lips on my last sway attempt and I think that didn't help so want to remain as "un-sway-ish" as possible here.
    - I have a script for Clomid that I plan to fill. Going to take that days 3-7 I think. I don't think I want to do OPKs, I get too obsessed. We did e4d last time and I'm not a huge fan. So if I take the Clomid day 3-7 should I hold out for a single attempt when I'd usually O or will the Clomid mess my usual cycle up?
    - Going to take folic acid instead of multi vitamin now. What's the recommended dosage for ttc pink?
    - Is fiber still recommended? I took Chitosan last time, definitely think it helped with weight loss!
    - I'm currently 128lbs and 5'5. I would like to lose up to 7lbs. I was 121lbs when we conceived DS3 which would be my lowest adult weight. I'm after gaining quite a bit of weight in the last 2 months due to the Zoloft increasing my appetite (which has never happened before)
    - Sleep is broken every night. I don't remember last time I had 5 hours straight. I'm hoping this can only help, right?

I had my LMP on 13 May. Cycles are around 31 ish days. So going by that we'd be having our first attempt in 12 weeks or so. Does this sound ok? Like I just don't want to get obsessive like last time so I want to just slightly tip the odds. I'd love a girl but am at peace with another boy whereas I really wasn't in this head space prior to having DS3. The GD for a DD was just overwhelming but it's much better now.
Thanks for reading. Good luck to everyone swaying, I hope you all get your GD xx

Looks like a great plan Hopper! My DH wasn't on board with me swaying either, but I managed to go vegetarian this time around. I too took Clomid and started days 3-7.

I'm sending you my pink baby dust (I can't believe I have some now to give!!)!

Hopper just wanted to jump in and say in regards to the attempt you'll have to do either e4d or one attempt at pos opk because clomid can may make you o earlier or later or bang on time - different for everyone.... I'd lean towards one attempt at pos opk so your getting the best timed attempt for conception in with using clomid as it seems to sway so strong.

Thanks XX!! I will surely take any spare pink dust you've got!! I'm nervous of the Clomid but really think it sways so strongly that I'd be foolish to not give it a shot! I'm Sat here having my morning coffee later than usual with a much smaller breakfast than usual (and a bigger fast than usual) so here's to day one on my "lite" sway 😁

Ok, thanks for that info hun. I'm completely clueless about it! I've not been on here much, if at all, since early 2016 so haven't really looked into much info on Clomid on the site. I really must!! Do you think it's ok if I don't use OPKs in the months between now and ttc? I just don't want to get obsessive! I was the definition of OCD when we conceived DS3 and though I wouldn't part with him for the world I'd love #4 (our 150% last child) to be a daughter.
I used the CB digital opks last time. Should I use them this time or go with cheapies?
How have you been keeping? I dunno if you remember me from the 2WW threads in 2015 but there's a handful of ladies I always wonder "how are they doing now?" X

Yes of course I remember you I kept up with your ddg thread for ages as quite a few of you got bfps around the same time. I know you went through a rough time. I'm still here and pregnant hopefully with a sticky bean finally.

Wouldn't bother with using opks until cycle 1 ttc. If you used the digis previously then I'd use them again. Might be a lot less stressful using an opk you're familiar with. Just start them the cycle you're going to ttc, you already know they work for you so just test once a day and know you'll detect your surge when it comes (fmu if using the dual hormone ones or at 1pm with a two hour hold and limited fluids with the regular digis) At least by not using opks in the cycles prior you wont be 'expecting' a pos opk by a particular day and won't stress if it isnt If you're taking clomid days 3-7 then don't start using opks until 4 days later (so start cd11) as clomid can cause false positives up to a couple days after taking so wait 4 days to be sure (no longer than that though)

Just thought of a couple of questions if anyone can help:

    1. As I mentioned I'm taking iron for my anaemia. I can't negotiate on this unfortunately but I was thinking what if I take it this month every day and then from July decrease it to maybe 3x a week? We'd be having our first attempt in August so it's not that long lowering my dose and maybe my haemoglobin will have gone up by July so it won't matter too much.

    2. I'm also on Zoloft as mentioned. I'd like to be weaned by the time we ttc. Do these types of meds help or hinder a sway or is that like asking how long is a piece of string?

    3. I'm starting everything today. Lite diet and exercise. I lost weight fast last time when I did the cardio so this time I'm thinking maybe start with 3 meals a day and drop to 2 if I can closer to ttc. How important is it to calculate daily protein, fat etc? As I said I don't want to become obsessive and I did tend to get cray cray about inputting to MFP last time which I think doesn't help when you're hoping for pink!

    Thank you xx

    Hey! Just browsing the forum!
You mentioned becoming very obsessive with your last sway... I feel myself getting like that
I have suffered with diagnosed OCD my whole life with pregnancy etc making it worse
I can feel myself becoming obsessive and I've only been doing it a week!
But I've read that can sway blue
So good plan to be more relaxed this time
I think I am going to relax abit as stress if not good for anyone is it!
Good luck! Hope you get your little girl! Xx
