    Newspaper article

Apparently 1228 women who had a history of miscarriages were given a low dose aspirin prior to sex, for as long as they were attempting to get pregnant, resulting in more boys conceived (31%), compared to those taking a placebo (23%).
They stress it only works if you have had miscarriages/inflammation.

Also they stated there are slightly more girls born in Britain than boys. Interesting.

That's a surprise... given that it was thought good to take aspirin when swaying pink!

    Wow!

Here's a link to the study I found on google... https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26280577

That is super interesting BUT I really, really want to stress the importance of NOT doing this unless you have some reason to believe that you have blood clotting disorders (meaning, you've been tested and diagnosed by a doctor or naturopath.)

Other studies have been done and shown either NO benefits to daily aspirin (quite a few studies found no benefit to it at all) or that it may even increase rates of miscarriage. Could taking aspirin trigger a miscarriage? | Daily Mail Online Daily aspirin is no longer being recommended by most docs without proven need (blood clotting disorder) and this doesn't even cover the risks and side effects to the mother personally (adding aspirin onto fish oil and EPO for instance could be a recipe for very serious side effects) I have seen firsthand the number of miscarriages among pink swayers drop as we have moved away from using aspirin and our results with it was 64% girls so certainly not swaying strongly blue for us anyway.

Again, to expand upon a point above - it is VERY likely that any possible benefits to preventing miscarriage are already covered by the fish oil (which also acts as a blood thinner and antiinflammatory) and so it very well may be the case that this has already been covered by taking fish oil supps. And if you add aspirin ONTO fish oil and DHA and EPO (and some of the other less common supps some blue swayers take like TT, etc) you will end up putting yourself at a very much greater risk of bleeding that can be potentially fatal.

I wouldn't do it. I feel like our miscarriage rate with pink swayers has plummeted since we ditched the aspirin and the fish oil already does the exact same thing anyway. I really, really do not think this is a wise supplement to add and more and more doctors are STOPPING it since it does not help prevent miscarriage and may even cause it.

BBB - think of it this way. Boy babies are more vulnerable/fragile, so if a person had an undiagnosed clotting disorder and had had miscarraiges because of this, they very easily could then carry a boy pregnancy to term that they may not have been able to otherwise. (this is actually what happened to at least two people on IG that I recall, Tamara being one of them) But that doesn't mean that this is then a)making people conceive more boys or b)that it is therefore a good idea for EVERYONE to start taking it even those who do not have clotting disorders (which most don't have).

I feel like it is a huge, massive chance to take for something that may even make you more likely to miscarry. Your blood being too thin is not better than being too thick - I have seen TONS of SCH in women that were taking aspirin/fish oil together in the HT crew and this is risky to a pregnancy as well. wE are talking about a tiny clump of cells burrowing into the uterus, and you need your blood to be able to clot normally for that to happen.
