Sumbal-I researched a little about Dopplers and it says that they are regulated by the FDA & approved for use at home. It says to use it in short intervals no longer than 10 minutes. It also cautions to not use it for reassurance (which is why I want it [emoji15]) b/c it can give a false sense of security...for example, if someone has concerns that baby isn't moving much, but finds heartbeat w/Doppler & then doesn't seek help from OB when they should...

something strange is happening with me. I am quite neat and clean person but from 2-3 weeks, i am feeling very different body odor, its like medicine smell. its happening first time with me but seriously its killing me. I cant bear this. and if I apply any deodrant then that also makes me sick. Aghhhhh helpless.

Yes I read the same about doppler that sometime it may give false result. but I think its also good to know that little bub is doing great .

Hmmm trying to think what you might use that will help neutralize the medicine smell (strange smell to be experiencing but hey that's pregnancy &#128514 Could you try a fragrance free talcum powder maybe?

I didnt try any telcum yet. I searched about this and found many pregnant women feel this and may be baby powder can help in this. I will definitely try it now.

I started using mine around 9 weeks I think.

Re safety the main cautions are because people use them to cHeck babies heart when they have reduced movement, which is essentially like finding someone passed out on the street and deciding they're fine because they have a pulse.. Once there's movement THAT is always the best indicator of how babe is doing, any reduced movement should be checked.

I always stop using mine once I can feel regular movements anyway though.

I properly gave myself a heart attack with mine yesterday, found babe beating away about 2 inches left of belly button.. Then found him again about 2 inches RIGHT of my belly button within a minute. I had a complete 'oh crap' moment. Haha! Googling tells me it happens though so I'm less wigged out now. What an idiot!
