CountryMommy-cute baby!!! Maybe baby is camera shy saying "no pics" lol. I had a freak out moment like that at 16 weeks, OB couldn't find the hb right away with the Doppler & as I started panic, he went straight to the U/S and there was the heart beating away...so lovely to see!! [emoji173]

Part 4: Due December 2017, January, February and March 2018
Thanks PBN - I think that is what makes it the hardest the comments make you feel like you've failed and yet there is no failure in creating and bringing a life into this world.. ugh [emoji58]

Boywish-congrats on another healthy girl! [emoji175]These are the same feelings I've been struggling with wondering if I'll have another boy. I know I'd feel the same way shedding some tears, then feeling guilty. It's completely natural! I also feel that strong need to prove the naysayers wrong! I've only told close family/friends, but have had many comments like "bet money on it it's another boy." Ughhh. Comments are the worst! A few years ago, one of my coworkers found out she was having her 3rd girl and was so upset. She now says that she wouldn't have it any other way, they are her girl team & have so much fun together! The important thing is, you have a healthy baby girl on the way who will LOVE her momma [emoji175]

Ah boywish. Your feelings are totally valid. I too wanted to prove 'em wrong. It does feel like failure when those comments come up. Just know that you have girls but some others have just boys and those who have just one of each may not have the same type of bond as our babies and some just may. It doesn't matter logically. Emotionally it's tough to reconcile. I hope you find that you can always come back here and be surrounded by those who understand you completely. We're in your boat!

Just saw a family that made the news they hadn't had a girl in 4 generations, for 137 years. And one of the son's and his wife just had a baby girl.

Thank you for the support ladies. I'm feeling calmer about it all after some sleep. What will be, will be and all that.
It was indeed the quad test combined with nuchal fold measurement. They offered an amnio but I opted to pay privately for a panorama NIPT. We're hopeful the test will come back negative but if it doesn't, it doesn't.
Good luck for today's scan Ash
Boywish: congratulations on your healthy baby. I'm sorry you didn't hear boy.
