once there is a pregnancy the corpus luteum continues to exist and continues to produce the progesterone which will sustain a pregnancy. A LP defect is not about the level of progesterone that is reached, it's about how long it lasts for.

The LP defect is caused when the corpus luteum dies before a pregnancy is established so hormone levels drop because of that... meaning anything that has JUST implanted when the corpus luteum dies won't have time to establish before the progesterone goes away and the lining is shed

yeah this is the cause of it for me, I'm still BF 3-5 times per day but vit B6 has seemed to work for me in the last few months

congratulations on conceiving so quickly this time - that must be much less stressful!

Omg ladies!! I have just read through 5 pages just since last night!! Thank god for mobile internet as I dread to think how many pages I would have to read through if I couldn't get online at all for 2 weeks.

Littlemisswilko ~ I'm definitely like you! I don't function without internet and FB.. Sounds sad perhaps, but it's scary how much I've come to rely on it in my everyday life. Good luck with your attempt this month

    Cocos-mum ~ welcome!

Maybebaby ~ ((hugs)) I don't know what to say hun to make you feel better.. You have just lost a dream and you need time to mourn! Don't be too hard on yourself, what you feel is only normal! And I agree with you 100% it is NOT fair! I wish everyone could get their DG!

Chocolate ~lovely to see you found us alright! and it's great you that you've found out about your short LP now so that you can fix it before you start TTC.

Petal ~i keep stalking your FB everyday for baby news! can't believe you are going to have your baby boy anyday now

Pinga ~how is the pregnancy treating you? I know what you mean, I too like to have an early scan for reassurance. I paid privately for one this time when I was 7 weeks.

Deaks ~ enjoy your holiday this weekend

    Hello to everyone else!
