To answer your other question about for attempt on CD18, it could have been a viable attempt. If you look at you chart, there wasn't a clear temp shift to indicate ovulation occurred until CD19. I thought your last attempt was on CD16, according to your chart.

I too had delayed ovulation and found through monitoring that despite clear temp shifts on my chart, ovulation was occurring 2-3 days AFTER that. This is why if this cycle is a bust, we should have you continue BDing until a few days after your temp shift. Remember, charting charts your hormones. Hormones can fluctuate much greater than bodily functions. Our hormones can sometimes prepare for a function to occur, but the body carries out the function at a later time.

    Hope this makes sense!

Max - I agree that it does look like you did not O until CD18. I do not think you are out just yet! Keep the faith. (HUGS) It took me 8 months to conceive DS3 and 3 months for DS4. I was SHOCKED at this one only taking one real month. It is just so unpredictable.

LSMS - HUGS - prayong for you and your little bean. Congrats btw. I missed all the excitement.

TTC - can't wait till you test.

Everyone else - thinking of you all. I just get lost on where everyone is at when it takes me 20+ pages to get caught up.

XX, that's one of the most beautiful ways to put it! And it makes me actually think through this quite differently. Thank you for the perspective!!

I thought about a later O date, but then I remembered that I had to go in for the u/s that Monday morning (CD18) to measure my lining and she confirmed that I had o'd from both sides by that day. So I either O'd CD15, 16, or 17. Either way, shouldn't that turn a test positive by this point, right?

Thank for shan and mommy for sharing your stories! It's so helpful to hear about other people's experiences. I haven't told anyone other than my sisters, mom and my best friend who went though IVF that we are ttc, so this journey can be so alienating at times. So thankful for you group of ladies!!

I forgot about that! Hmmm. It can take a bit for implantation to occur- 6-12 days past ovulation. Plus it takes 2-3 days after implantation for it to show on a HPT. You are very much in this still! Remember, you always have a chance as long as AF isn't here yet!

Max-if you O'd cd17 at the latest, you could still potentially be 9dpo and that may not show a BFP on an OSOM until this evening or tomorrow!! You're not out yet! Temps are looking great! Fxfxfx!!!

Max I believe you're 9dpo so with that AM attempt being a j&d (I'd forgotten about that &#128550 you're pretty much relying on swimmers from the 3-o attempt to conceive from. Which can happen of course so see how your tests look over the next couple days. 9dpo is really early. Agree with xxforhubby about continuing bding. I've said before I believe you are oing 2-3 days after pos opk (might have been when we were pming during your break from the thread) so as simple as it sounds, lack of good timing could be the real issue why you aren't conceiving. If you're at the point that you just want to conceive then I think SMEP would work really well for you considering there could be several days that o is happening once you get a pos opk. SMEP is eod from cd8 (you could just do e3d instead) then three days in a row at pos opk. Skip a day then bd again. It's entirely up to you though as it means multiple attempts but it's something to consider to boost your odds of conceiving. SMEP has a pretty good success rate. Remember though, you aren't out this cycle! Your chart is looking really good!

I read that a normal luteal phase is 12-16 days, and all mine this year have been 10-12 days, this month ff is saying 11 days. If ff is wrong about a 27 day cycle this month, and my cycle is still 25 days, that means my luteal phase is actually only 9 days. Is that something to be concerned about? A alot of things I'm reading are saying that even if conception occurs, your lining sheds before the egg gets a chance to implant...

Ttcblue anything 9 days and under is considered on the low side but anything from 10 days plus is perfectly fine. I think I have read even 9 days is ok....

Oh my gosh, okay thank you. I was so worried. My cycles used to be a regular 28, now they're usually 25. You always make me feel much better!

So does that mean you'll be testing 10dpo as that *could* be potentially day of missed o? 😀😉
