Birth control pill questions

So DH is going to be gone for work CD12-CD17... I think I usually ovulate around CD15. Would it make any sense to take a progestin only pill for the week of my period and then stop it? It could possibly make me ovulate early right? I don't want to lose out trying this month. But I don't want to do anything to jeopardize my sway either.

No, I have found that doesn't really work in any reliable way and generally just really messes up your cycle for no benefit. So you end up Oing right on time in the month you hoped to delay it, then your cycle ends up going nuts the next 3 months. :/

Ok so I shouldn't try Vitex or anything either? I can't believe he is gone next week! Ug! He leaves Monday which is CD11 and comes back CD16. I usually ovulate day 15. There's a chance it could be later which is what I'm hoping! I have ovulated later than that before. I'm thinking we can BD the morning he leaves and the second he gets home on CD16 [emoji38]

Yes that's exactly what I want you to do. BD before he leaves, last minute if poss, and then again when he gets back.

So... unintentionally BD today on CD8. Should we still go ahead and BD on CD11 right before he leaves? I'm thinking today really didn't count since its way too early in the cycle anyways right? OPK test today was completely negative and I usually have a week of a darkening line leading up to Ovulation.

Yes. there is absolutey NO way anything will be left from a CD 8 BD because your environment is so hostile it actively kills sperm.
