Hang in there, She'll be here before you know it! I felt exactly the same way because I was so sick and miserable, but honestly I kind of miss being pregnant and a little sad that I wished the whole pregnancy away. She is more than likely my last too, hubby doesn't want any more kids now that we've got our little girl![]()
Isobel is 5 weeks today and growing so fast! She's cooing and making cute little noises. Still keeps me awake all night! I was almost in tears the other morning from exhaustion but she gave me the biggest sweetest smile, cheeky girl. It's funny how they learn to smile just when you're about to go insane from sleep deprivation

How is everyone and their beautiful bubbas going? Geez we are a quiet group LOL.
I still haven't gotten used to having a daughter. Still think of myself as a boy mum haha. Keep calling Isobel "Oliver" (DS4) or he/him...oops. I get a shock every time I do a nappy change LOL. She's smiling heaps now, will be 7 weeks tomorrow! Time is flying by!!!

Ahh I've been meaning to check back in. Caiden Charles came last week at 39.1 I ended up having a precipitous labor...something I never thought possible. My previous labors were 13 hours and 10 so I thought this would follow suit.
I was in false labor last Friday for five hours but no progression. I had been having contractions for about 3 weeks but was only 3cm and my cervix was still hard so I was sent home. Saturday we went to a BBQ and relaxed with friends and it was the first day in weeks with zero contractions. I was set to be induced on thursday 7/27 so I figured that's what would happen.
On Sunday morning at 1:50 I felt my first real contraction. I went to the bathroom and then tried to fall back asleep. About ten minutes later I was woken by Another. They were super painful right away so I called my midwife. I told her they weren't close together but the pain was intense. She told me to get in the bath and call back when they were 2-3 min apart. I don't know how quick they ended up getting hit the pain was too much. I called back and said I needed to be in the hospital for an epidural and she said to head over.
We arrived at the hospital at 3:12. My water broker in the emergency room entrance and they got me up to L&D, changed and in bed. At that point I kept saying I really really wanted the epidural. The nurse put in an IV because she said I needed to be hydrated before they gave me the epi. She then took blood to send down to the lab. She left the room and wrote the time on the board 3:30. My son was born at 3:38 with no doctor or nurses in the room. They ran in when they heard my screaming. My husband couldn't hit the call button because I had him in such a tight grip. I was yelling I had to push and he kept telling me no I couldn't because there was nobody there. In the end it wasn't even like I actively pushed. It felt like I had to relieve pressure and then his body was out in the bed.
It was by far the most traumatic of my births but the easiest recovery. I felt great as soon as the placenta was delivered...like a weight was lifted.
And now that he's here he is perfect. I cuddle and hold him as much as I can since number 3 will soon get put to the back burner for his older siblings.
I still long for a daughter, maybe HT in the future. But for now I'm soaking in every moment with this sweet boy.Last edited by BabsNMK; July 29th, 2017 at 06:02 PM.

Ugh. I had a Skyla IUD inserted last week for birth control, and it seems like my body isn't reacting that well. I'm going to give it another week or two max and then have it removed if things haven't gotten better. My DH and I don't like condoms, so that's out. I'm not sure what to do so have asked atomic about it...Possibly will just do NTNP (not trying not preventing) and let whatever happens happen...I usually use Birth Control Pills but I'm not sure if I can really manage to take them at the same time every day.

congratulations on all the gorgeous babies
amelia sorry your having a rough time with the IUDjust thought id add that we did NTNP before i found swaying (swaying is the first time ive ever used opk's, tracked my cycle or "tried" for a baby) we had 5 babies in 5 years with NTNP
if you'd happily have another baby any time from now then go for it, but if you want to sway or plan your age gap then its not so reliable!! xx

Ugh 4blue2pink, I know! I'm actually feeling more OK with getting pregnant right away now that I appear to have lost 100% of my pregnancy weight. I definitely don't want more than two kids, so will need a bulletproof birth control option after the second, but for right now I'm feeling more flexible about it. Pills always worked before, but with a small baby in the house it's not reliable to always take them at the same time. I'm still exclusively breastfeeding so that should protect me some as well, but it seems like many people in my family get pregnant anyway. Bleh. I also worked with atomic already on a pink sway plan, so maybe I'll just be more aggressive on that plan instead of doing "sway lite". I really was strongly considering HT to 100% guarantee a girl, but this birth control thing is really throwing me for a loop. And DH and I are really not doing well with 0 sex for 7 weeks now. We've been raring to go since week 1!

haha yeah me and my dh are like that we're back at it like 2-3 weeks after usually but as i said we want a big family and small age gaps are my preference.
if you are 100% ok with getting pregnant quickly and a small age gap then maybe go for the LE diet within breastfeeding limits and just go for bd every 4 or 5 days that way your pink friendly if you do start ovulating again while breastfeeding? i hope you can find a plan moving forward that works for youand fingers crossed leads to a little sister for your boy
