loving the updatesfiveboys, she is adorable! <3
I'm starting to prep things for the baby's arrival. I have a gut feeling this bub is going to arrive early and I hope I'm wrong and we make it to the 36 week mark!
Have any of you kept track of body measurements from before pregnancy until now? My neck and arms are slightly smaller than before pregnancy but my hips are super wide and I had a 3 inch increase at the bust. Waist area increased by 7 inches so far, I thought it was more LOL.
I was trying to find info on how body composition changes during pregnancy and we really have no real information available. For those of you with multiple children, how quickly did the rest of your body change (taking the focus off the belly)? Did your arms and legs get noticeably bigger as you approached birth and did it go down quickly after birth?
I hope my questions make sense lol, I find that it is more difficult to put proper sentences together these day.

I pay attention to this stuff too! I don't have actual numbers for you, but I can tell you my arms stayed the same size with my DS1. My bust, my hips, and thighs grew several inches! With DS2, my arms, bust, and hips grew a few inches. With my DS3, only my arms and bust grew maybe an inch at most, but my hips and thighs shrunk a couple of inches! This time with my DD, my arms and thighs have increased an inch so far, but my hips have decreased an 1.5! My bust has stayed the same, but my DS3 weaned when I was 19 weeks pregnant. I'm thinking my bust will increase quite a bit once my milk comes in. Usually it doesn't, but my breasts usually get larger pre-delivery.

Kelly, 1pink, are you trying anything in particular to reduce the risk of hemmorage?
I've hemmoraged three times now, with both my sons and the third time with a m/c at 8 weeks. I don't have a blood disorder and they can't find a cause for it, maybe I just have an atonic uterus or something. My midwife suggested I start drinking red raspberry leaf tea (like a litre a day) from 20 weeks on to try to improve uterine tone. I'm also going to try acupuncture. The rrl tea is a pretty time-honored trick so I'm hoping it helps!Surprise2012. FGD sway opposite

Nettle and alfalfa might help with hemmorage risk too- they're both high in vitamin k which assists in clotting (and for our ICP moms, I've seen evidence that vitamin k deficiency is common with ICP).

Just curious girls about the women on here who swayed for girl and are having girls who used clomid? This is one thing I didn't add to my sway but did everything else. I've been checking the sways and most women who are having girls used clomid Just a general observation. I tried to get it from my gp and I'm kicking myself I didn't use it!!!!!

I had Clomid. I got my RX from my RE, because he noticed my prolactin levels were 4X's higher than they should have been for nursing a 12mo old. It was a fluke really. He just ran the basic hormone panel, and we noticed it. Since I was nursing, I wasn't able to take Bromocriptine, because we didn't want my milk to dry up. Clomid lowers prolactin levels by 65% on average, which put me where my levels should be for the age of baby I was nursing. We both think me dieting too strictly and exercising so rigorously too early post delivery caused my body to compensate with such elevated prolactin to keep up nursing. I started swaying when my son was 3mo old. Probably not the smartest idea I've had [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]!
Hang in there Amelia10!

To be honest i think with my hemorrhage there was something else going on and my hospital are crap! I normally go 9 days over but on this pregnancy had been contracting from 37wks. Went to my clinic appointment at 37+6 and said i think im going into labour (i'd also had a bloody show that morning) he didnt even check me just said no its too early you probably ate something funny. Even the midwives could see something was happening i couldnt walk a couple of feet without having to stop and breathe. That night i was in my sitting room and felt a pop and there was blood running down my legs and i ran to bathroom and the only way i could describe it is a huge piece of something that looks like meat fell out. I went over to hospital they checked said i wasnt in labour but would have to stay overnight with bleeding they said the lump of "meat" was normal although ive never had anything like it before or after and it was huge so not just a blood clot. Anyway I was in too much pain to get off the bed and she was in my arms 45 minutes later. As her head was coming out so was blood and it was everywhere, everyone was panicking there was a million people in the room and my bp was through the floor. Anyway a doc ran in didnt even say anything and put his hand into my womb and took placenta out and the bleeding stopped. The midwife just said i was lucky doc was on the ward as if he was anywhere else it could of been a very different story for me. When i explained all this to my gp she reckons it sounds like that was a piece of my placenta that came out and a blood clot stopped the bleed until i delivered. I dont know if thats possible but it was all so strange it makes sense to me. Thankfully no signs of bleeding since. But my fast labours make me nervous i would deliver before the hospital and bleed out on side of road. Childcare is a major issue for us so if labour started unexpectedly its quite possible i would have to drive myself. I guess thats something to be thankful to gd for as i probably wont get far enough without induction to worry about labouring alone.

I was taking clomid when I conceived this baby. So I'm hoping I break the trend! But yes I have read that clomid sways girl.
But I also had an iui. Which is, from what I've read, supposed to negate the clomid sway since the sperm is deposited directly into the uterus. So there's no travel for the male sperm to die off from. Apparently clomid sways girl cuz it tend to dry up cervical mucous. Thus making it hard for boy sperm to travel to the egg. But like all others it's just a theory! Who knows! I have see more girls conceived tho on clomid than boys!

@erin514, thanks for your post. I haven't heard of raspberry tea helping out with preventing haemorrhage. I'll check in with my midwife on my next visit...thank you!
On another note...is anyone else having issues with 'thanking' and 'liking' posts? Mine don't seem to work for some reason??
