I get up at 7am (that's when my son wakes) and don't eat until 11 or 12, (dinner night before about 6-7pm) but I do have a coffee in the morning about 9 or 10am. Tiny bit of milk (if any) no sugar.
Is this counted as having a breakfast??? If it is ill cull it. If it's not I'll be happy [emoji2][emoji2]

If it's only a few added cals to your coffee, it's fine. I always had black coffee but that's just what I prefer. I know many pink swayers here added a splash of creamer to theirs.

No. Intermittent Fasting is a diet that has a lot of science behind it, and it posits that anything <50kcal doesn't count as breaking the fast. So coffee only on LE is fine.
I got a girl drinking coffee with some almond milk evrry morning.

I have two cups of coffee with skimmed milk, I really hope it doesn't count as 'breakfast'

Coffee or in fact anything artificially sweetened, unsweetened/zero cal, or with very few cals in it is fine in the morning or between meals. If it has calories (more than a few) put it with a meal.
Virtually ALL of us are having coffee with some sort of whitener in it in lieu of breakfast.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

How important is it for a girl sway to skip breakfast? This seems key from what I've read but I just don't think I can do it. Not least because we have quite a family breakfast together every morning and it would like odd if I didn't have anything. Is it about reducing calories? What is the 'intermittent fasting' that throwaway panther mentioned?
I worry I'm doomed!

Ok so what I have gathered from reading on here, is that you don't have to skip breakfast if you have an early dinner and fast overnight. It wouldn't work if you ate dinner at like 9-10pm then had breakfast at like 6-7am, but if you had an early dinner like 5-6pm then fasting all night is counted. So if you have dinner at 5pm then don't eat breakfast until 7am that counts as fasting and counts as not having breakfast. Because your body has fasted for long enough. Then just don't snack throughout the day and have a later lunch etc. hope that makes sense

It's not key. It is something that may help a teensy amount but scads of people have skipped or tweaked that to meet their needs - people have to work or exercise or take medicine or they're breastfeeding or whatever. Not at all key and I suggest, no DEMAND that you continue eating breakfast as a family (that sounds very very nice!)

Yes, this is an option. The whole point of the "skipping breakfast" idea is to give your body more time with no food coming in. There are myriad ways to do this. There's nothing magic about breakfast in and of itself (other than we've found that it's easiest for most people). But you could eat dinner earlier instead. Or skip lunch. Or, eat breakfast early, dinner late, and just be sure you don't snack between the 3 meals.
Oh and since people are often confused by this, it is 100% fine to eat 3 meals a day on LE Diet. Both 2 and 3 are acceptible and people should do whichever suits them better.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
