Max - I struggled with DD1 and did great with DD2. My main advice is nurse nurse nurse as much as you can in the hospital and the first couple of weeks. I think that was the main difference is my first I had people in and out the whole time in the hospital and would just let her sleep. With my second I kept visitors low and nursed all the time. Now that was a tad hard bc she'd rather eat than sleep but it made it more successful bc I had milk. I'm usually on the side of just producing enough so I take Fenugreek to help with supply and swear by it. Some don't have the same success and it can make babies gassy but my babies have always been gassy but it didn't bother them.

I donated to eat of feets last time because I just have soooooo much! I have to pump every feeding or I get engorged. Ds4 is the only one I didn't get mastitis with. It is absolutely horrible.

Thanks, Kat! Okay that's probably where I went wrong...I'm not sure I nursed enough in the hospital. Have you guys heard of these to increase milk supply?

Fenugreek! I also LOVE Yogi nursing tea! Two bags 2-3 times a day and your good to go! It has the perfect amount of fenugreek that won't make most babies gassy. I drink this when I freak out about my supply (I'm an overproducer but still freak out 🤣🤣
. I like it with honey or coffee creamer.

Those are basically the same ingredients in the tea I mentioned and oatmeal. Oatmeal is great for increasing milk supply. Make oatmeal cookies or cereal and drink the tea I mentioned, and you'll be good to go! Plus, it will cost much less!

Just an update I had my ultrasound today. My hematoma is completely gone and baby looks perfect, nothing wrong healthwise. Baby is measuring at 19 weeks today and he is all boy and he was proud to flaunt it. I am so excited that this baby is healthy and the hematoma is healed and i have changed my mind on the name already. I thought I might be sad to find out boy and not girl, but honestly I am so in love with this little one I just thank God that He has given me this wonderful gift of life when the odds weren't in my favor with the large hematoma. God is good! ☺

Either one works well for me, but I'm sensitive to stuff 🤣🤣! I would try rolled oats, since they are whole grain but don't take FOREVER to cook! I love steel cut oats and am asking for a tiny sized crock pot for my birthday so I can cook some overnight to have ready in the mornings!

Max here's a recipe for the cookies!!
Bake at 350
10 minutes each side
PB and Choc cookies
2 cups whole oats
1 cup steel cut oats
2 tbsp brewers yeast
1/3 cup flax seed
1 tbsp fenugreek
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup brown sugar
mix dry ingredients
1 smashed ripe banana
2 cups peanut butter
mix wet ingredients
mix all together then put in fridge over night
if it's too wet you can add more oats
if it's too dry you can add another banana
roll into balls, press down then bake
