Mommy-precious kids growing up!!
Max & Ash-I had terrible mastitis with DS1 & ended up in the hospital for 2 days with an abscess on my boob...most painful thing ever! Had to have surgery to drain it & the dr told me I had to quit nursing after only a month. I was so upset & felt like a complete failure!!! For DS2, after that terrible experience, I was definitely hesitant, but I was going to give it my best shot. Well, it just worked out & ended up nursing for 2 years!!! After those first few months, it just gets easier & easier. Max-I ordered lactation cookies often & even made my own. Not sure if they really worked, but they tasted great! As Ash mentioned, you can look up recipes or like the one Mommy posted, but they're made with oatmeal, Brewer's yeast & flaxseed. I always made the choc chip oatmeal cookiesIf you don't like oatmeal, you don't really notice it in the cookies!
Momoffour-awesome news!! [emoji322]Congrats on your baby boy!! [emoji170]
Ash & Laurel-love your bumps!!You both look fantastic!! I haven't taken a good bump pic this week, but feel like I'm popping out or maybe I just notice it.
Kat-babies r us has the lactation cookies...I know I've seen them in Target too, but can't remember where??? Milkmakers lactation cookies I think? They're not the best ever, a little hard, but I started microwaving them & liking them.

Well, just saw I missed posts.
Max-you look ahhh-mazing!!! If that's a big bump, you must be extra teeny tiny to begin with!! [emoji4] My tummy is def poking out at 15 weeks...I'm at the self-conscious stage!! Doesn't look like a baby bump yet...just like I'm bloated ugh!!

Max you look fantastic!!
I hope I get a cute bump like all of you! My tummy isn't super flat, but it looks better than it ever has weight wise!
Goal is to have a cute bump for my final pregnancy!
Thanks Lola! Makes me sad! When I dropped Kolton off he was bawling his eyes out! Then when I picked him up he was all smiles and said he made friends! Little brother wasn't happy he went to school though!

XX – I dare say it’s just your milk canals getting reading for nursing in preparation for the upcoming birth…
Does it come and go or it constant?
Mommy – look at those 3 – so grown up! Can understand why it’d feel bittersweet – they look all smiles and ready to go though !
Max - my 2 cents worth re breastfeeding – no foods are “magic” so the absolute best thing you can do to establish good breastfeeding is skin to skin as soon as bub is born, and more skin to skin! As well as have bub at the boob as soon as born and then as much as possible, stimulating the lactation and by following its cues – remembering they nurse both for food and comfort, and at the beginning their stomachs can only old tiny amounts of milk, so they feed very often but for short periods – so not to be alarmed by that, it’s what you would expect!
That will allow your milk to come in, and help get the lactation going more easily
The best you can do foods wise is probably eating a wholesome, nutrient rich diet so that your body is as replenished as possible so you can produce better – I know that when exhaustion was bad, the supply had a tendency to drop. Oats are great, but moreso because they are a good nutritious food
I personally wouldn’t waste my money on so called “miracle” lactation biscuits or similar – unless you like them of course (and there are so many good recipes on line to make your own – you could freeze them before bub comes and just thaw as needed ^^) – just making sure you eat enough and well will suffice! ^^
I did drink “nursing” tea – but fenugreek can be a bit strong smelling (taste wise it’s ok with a dash of honey though I found) – but only a little as I didn’t find it changed much of anything.
Oh and don’t worry about the weight – you are so petite to start with , a few of pounds is nothing – and weight gain at one point doesn’t mean you will gain 2 pounds every week till the end honlook a that bod! And this is bub #3 – wow - you look amazing!
Laurel And Ash – your bumps are too cute and you just look amazing too! I am looking forward to having a true baby bump, not just bloating and flab lol
Ash – wow, oversupply to that point! Go you for pumping all the time and donating the liquid gold!Agree, mastitis sucks – only had the beginning of it once, and gosh it is agony!
Mumoffourmonkeys – I am so happy for you that the hematoma is gone – what fantastic news! Congrats on the healthy baby boy ! May we know what you’d like to call him? (yes, I am a nosy curious one haha)
I better run, I have a celebratory lunch for my 3rd work anniversary with my boss – and then I have to run to get to my “dentist” appointment aka what I told my manager to leave early and go to the gynae appointmentso excited and soooo nervous, praying bean has grown and is well!!

You guys are sweet, thanks!
Lola, omg mastitis is my nightmare. My sister and my best girlfriend had it with their last pregnancies. They were also hospitalized. Do you know what caused it? I'm so opposed to pumping because of my previous experience, but I think that can cause mastitis also if you don't get it out right? I need a breastfeeding tutorial. [emoji12]

Mommy-you will have a cute bump too!! Glad your little guy ended up having a good day [emoji4]
I have to tell you all something very minor that happened today that was so funny to me!! Don't know who else to share it with, but thought you all might get a kick out of it! I work in an elementary school & we have faculty meetings on Wednesdays. At our meeting today, our assistant principal was discussing our fire drill/intruder drill procedures very seriously to the whole faculty, mostly women maybe 3 guy teachers. She was talking about evacuation & said it several times, then mistakingly said "ejaculation" one of the times. Everyone bust out laughing & she turned bright red lolShe stopped turned around for a minute & covered her face, turned back & said "I'm so embarrassed, I just want to crawl into a hole." Then she went about her presentation. It was def a good laugh

Max-I def made sure I emptied all the milk. If I still felt full, I pumped the rest & stored it for later. I often fed on one side & pumped on the other. With DS1, I had a clogged duct that I couldn't seem to clear. I always massaged, pushed, & squeezed the milk out, but it didn't work. I felt like I had the flu with a high fever & chills, then terrible pain in the boob. They say it helps to keep nursing through it. I did, but it hurt so bad I was in tears...felt like shards of glass/knives cutting me!! I don't think DS1 was getting milk out of that side at all. When I was in the hospital, my boob was so swollen...they asked me to try to pump, but nothing was coming out!! It was AWFUL, BUT on the bright side, I was a success story for DS2 [emoji4][emoji106] After the surgery, I had a small hole in my boob that I had to pack twice a day with gauze since it heals from the inside out. It finally healed after weeks & now years later, there's the tiniest scar that's barely noticeable!
