The nursery sounds cute Lola! I'm excited to start seeing everyone's ideas. I feel like I HAVE to have mine done by mid November because then we have thanksgiving, preparing for Christmas, and I'm not sure I'll make it till New Years. If I don't want labor before Christmas I need to stay calm and lay low not trying to stress even more getting things ready. It was like I had no idea what I wanted to do now it's just all popped into my head and I'm ready to get started lol.

Dancingdiva-sorry about the pink eye! I had it back in May, ughhh, not fun!
So some of my family mentioned that they want to throw me a small shower. This is my 3rd baby, didn't think it was proper etiquette to have a shower? What are all of your thoughts? They said that since it's a girl this time, it could be a small family shower to get some girly things. I said maybe we could call it a "sprinkle" haha.

Lola I've heard of sprinkles before but I agree I never thought it was right to just have one on the first but I had a small surprise family one for my third because he was a huge surprise during a time my husband was laid off work for a short period so all the items were welcome

we say thrush here in the UK to describe the yeast infection you can get down there.. its also used for the one babies get in their mouths and mums get on nipples but most commonly it means you have a yeast infection "downstairs" :-/
Lola if they are offering and want to do it for you then let themi dont think its wrong of you its not like your the one demanding it! but we dont have them here so maybe im not understanding? is it strictly first baby only?
Ash your little girl is going to have such a gorgeous nursery i love your theme, we are about to move house so i dont think i'll be doing much on that front there is too much else to organise ARGH haha
speaking of organising i have ordered the first little "unisex team green baby" bits today, not much just some newborn size baby gro's and vests, they are white with little moons and clouds onso sweet

Thanks ladies! I guess if they insist, I won't say no haha. They seemed excited about it. It's a very sweet gesture & at least I'm not the one recommending it!
4blue2pink-it's typically tradition here to have a shower just for the 1st baby, but it's becoming more common to have a "sprinkle" for other babies, especially if it's another gender. I didn't have a sprinkle for my 2nd baby & we were team green, but my work surprised me with a little shower with diapers, wipes & gender neutral things.
