Pbn-I friended you as well. Looking forward to this group [emoji4]
Sooo, the governor of SC held a press conference last night & did NOT issue a mandatory evacuation for us. We made a last minute decision to stay as it the current track appears to spare us for the most part. I'm all packed up though, so we can always hop in the car if it changes. Still expecting heavy rain, flooding etc. I'm expecting to lose electricity too, so supplies are stocked up!! Today is the calm before the storm with a lovely breezy day! As crazy as this sounds, we may go to check out the beach & waves (just look), then go to the beach playground! I'm thinking my anatomy scan will still be ON for 9/15 yayyy! So excited & nervous, praying all is well!

Lolla, mine is 14th [emoji4][emoji12]. I m counting days and praying all is ok. Dh will ask the gender and I may give in thinking it may be accurate this time. [emoji51][emoji51]
Glad to know that u don't have to evacuate. I am praying for everyone. It looks so scary. Dh and I are following the news. Keep us posted. Stay safe at the beach.

Sky what do u mean when you say "it will be accurate this time" ?
The week after my scan i am going to go into a tough work week with 10 straight days of 12 hour shifts. So i am debating if i should postpone reading the gender till after my tough work days are over. I don't want to go into the work week all depressed

Blue -Sky's husband got a guess at the last scan, since it was super early only 80% accurate. She doesn't know though.

Bluebooties- Sorry for the confusion. Like Kat said, he found out but I didn't ask him since the tech told him that it's 60-70% accurate. I just didn't want to know. It will be a different story this time though. Me and my funny feelings.

I know. He looks pretty determined to find out n I told him that we didn't have any success with blue sways so far n he said he will be as happy with two girls too.
You know I was sad when I found about my first being a girl at anatomy scan. Horrible person I was [emoji849]. We had all girls in my family between my two sisters and brother and they are all amazing. But then there were a lot of hopes on me is what I felt and mine being a girl made me sad for them. But today, when I look at my daughter I feel the guilt of ever feeling that way. There is nothing that I would change about her and having two of her will be a blessing. I m so proud of feeling this way but now my in laws are hoping for a boy because between dh and his brother, we have two girls and this will be our last baby and they won't have more either so in laws would love if this one will be a boy. I hate to carry the burden of anyone's hopes. I love them a lot and they are great and they mean well but I don't want to be disappointed knowing the gender of my baby. When I found out with my first, I thought I felt the way I did because I didn't have her in front of me to realize how perfect she was hence I decided to not find out this time. My dh knows all this that's why he doesn't even give me a hint of what the gender is when he found out at 12 weeks.
I honestly don't have much hope of hearing a boy since everyone else's sway was way better than mine and I was shocked when they heard opposite. I keep telling dh to not be disappointed if he hears a girl because there is most certainly a big possibility that he will. May be that's my way of telling that to myself.
Oh and you know what the funny thing is that I told my sister about the Shettles method for conceiving a boy and guided her every step of the way while I was pregnant with dd. She tried it and she had a boy after two girls. [emoji4][emoji4] My daughter and him are 9 months apart.

Ur not alone sky. I was overjoyed with DD1 as i wanted a girl to dress up and have as a friend. Plus i came from a boy heavy family so didn't have any sisters or girl cousins of my age group to hang out with. With DD2 i was sad not that she was a girl but that she was my last child and that i will never get to have a boy to complete our family. With dd3 it was the sway that hurt the most and the fact that i went out of my comfort limits to have a third child when life was going so perfect with my 2 girls.
This time at least i didn't sway do i know that disappointment won't be there but the 4th kid part is really still killing me. I had never imagined in my wildest dreams to have 4 kids. I am dying trying to raise the 3 i already have but o well what's done is done and what's written in my destiny will come to me whether i like it not.
