Hi ladies, thought I'd check in and see how everyone is.
I just spent a week in hospital with bronchitis and influenza B. Absolutely knocked me for six! Bub is fine but I wasn't well at all unfortunately. Slowly recovering.
How is everybody else travelling? Who is next to find out gender?

Dancing glad to hear ur doing better. Yeah the flu season has started. We r starting to see a lot of hospital admits with it already. I caught it last season and boy it was nasty !!
Hope u feel better soon. And glad to hear baby is doing ok.

I am not sure but i think i "might" be next at finding gender. I say "might" bcoz i still am not sure if i will have the will power to read the envelope

Dancingdiva-great to hear from you, but gosh sounds like you've had a week!!! Hope you are back to 100% soon! My OB just mentioned the flu shot this past visit. I will certainly get one once they are available!
Bluebooties-the week we've all been waiting for is almost here!! Woohoo!!
Sky-your hand U/S...oh my...so cute!!! Looks like baby is waving!!!
Srg-hope you pass the glucose test! Keep us posted! I failed the 1 hr test with DS1, but passed the 3 hr one. I was determined to pass the first time around with DS2 & fasted before the test & passed. We'll see this time around...

Bluedreaming – special thoughts for you today – hope all goes as well as it possibly can hon

Dancing – oh no, that sucks – glad you are ok now and that and baby wasn’t affected – there seems to be sick people all over – am surrounded at work, it’s a wonder I don’t have the flu!!
You would think that with winter supposedly over, flu season would be too – seems it’s worse now than in June-August!

Bluebooties – one step at the time – first see baby, fall in love – and then decide what you want to do with finding out or not

I know it’s still night for you guys but in advance – have a good scan Kat, looking forward to your update with pics of your latest gorgeous creation

Sky – you know I actually dreamt last night that you had asked hubby to tell you gender because we were too impatient – and it was a boy – so please indulge us
Love that cute little hand waving hello! Your DD will adore seeing her sibling wriggling on the screen

Srg – how did the glucose test end? Were you ok?

PBN – were you just going back and forth for the day at your mum’s or are you staying longer since it’s school holidays? (sorry, you probably mentioned but my brain is a sieve!)

Also, anyone have the issue of MS getting worse at a time where it is supposed to actually be easing?
I’m almost 13 weeks – had what seemed like a betterment around 11 weeks and the last 1.5 weeks it’s been getting worse again – I dry reached this am brushing my teeth
I am seeing my midwife on Friday so will raise it with her but if any of you have natural remedies to advise, am all ears!!!
We also told the girls the gender of baby, as DD1 decided she wanted to know – and she was stunned and excited all at once : she comes in every morning and says “morning mummy - can I say hi to the baby?” so I have to lift my t-shirt for her to pat the belly love that girl to bits ^^ DD2 is starting to integrate that I am pregnant, as at times I can’t carry her etc and she looks up saying “ because mummy baby in the tummy” - can’t believe my baby will turn 2 soon – and soon won’t be the littlest anymore!!

U know sky last time i was same as u. Hubby new gender but i didn't read the envelope till a while after. Men r good at hiding emotions.

I won't know my glucose results until my next appointment next Monday. The lab doesn't give results, but if I failed, my doc may call to tell me to go ahead and get in for the three-hour test. Otherwise, I'll know next Monday.

Srg – FX it’s ok and you don’t have to do the 3-h test!!!
I’ve only ever done the 3-hour ones, but hope I can push to get just the 1-h one this time as I pass out when I do them

Lola – did I miss a post about your scan or didn’t you come back to update? Or I may just have forgotten, I am soooo forgetful it’s scary :P

I need to vent for just a second. I just got home from my family reunion and it doubled as a quick baby shower for my male cousin and his second wife who are in their forties and having their first baby. They're having a boy and naming him the name we used for my angel DS. Listen, I don't really care that they're using the same name because I've literally only met the wife twice, and I only see them at these extended family reunions. BUT seeing all the blue and the boy clothes... *sigh. It was tough.
