shann id be raging if that happened to me im so sorry she has ruined your surprise, she should never have assumed that you already knew the gender, i have noticed here that midwives always ask "do you know what your having?" i guess its to avoid them ever slipping up the way she has with you, are you going to complain at your next app? i would!! on another note Congratulations on your little boy i know it wasnt what you were hoping for and i hope you are ok xx

I have to wait till the anatomy scan. I am kinda thinking of doing a secret scan at around 16 weeks. I don't want to tell hubby and I know that's horrible, but I had such a bad reaction to finding out my second DD that I really want to prepare myself if its another girl.

I neither had an option of elective scan nor was i mentally ready to hear girl for the fourth time

Bommy after having 5 boys, feel pretty confident this might be yours. A scan at 16 weeks would pick up the gender. I had done one last time with ds5 but ill be waiting it out this time.

thats the plan so far. I am wondering about getting an elective scan at 16 weeks just to prepare if its not. I really am glad you think blue too :-)

Bommy - if I am seeing a nub, it looks like a boy, but I am not really sure. But overall I get a boy vibe from your pic. Cute baby!!!

4blue2pink - I am doing a bit better. I will most definitely complain at my next appointment. It is with a different midwife, but I will still let them know how upset they made me.

Thanks ladies. I've spoken to my midwife who also said same about vitex. Now to chat to naturopath and take them back!

Probably mid October when I'm 16 ish weeks. I want the best chance at an accurate guess.

Bommy - if that is stacking, you’ve got good odds of a boy – especially if the expert eyes are unanimous! FX it’s your boy – congrats on a healthy bub anyhow!
We desperately need some blue success to get our stats up! Lol

Shann – I hope you’re feeling better now, but yes definitely lodge a complaint!

Bluebooties – FX for your scan tomorrow – will be thinking of you!
Am sure we’ll have a wave of blue now for our blue swayers – there’s gotta be some boys to our blue swayers, statistically, just gotta!

Laurelw – can see you got some confirmation re Vitex, would definitely advised you against it too – so glad that is the consensus ^^

4b2p – so where are you at moving wise hon? Have you set a date for the move?

Afm – I have my 1st middie appointment tomorrow- she’s coming to the house for the booking appointment – I asked hubby to stay so he could meet her (he usually leaves the house at 7am ish, but she comes at 9 so he will have to just stay haha).
It will make this pregnancy more real! I think once I announce it at work, in a couple of weeks probably once my boss is back from leave, it will definitely hit home
Oh and we’re getting aircon installed next week – good thing since they’re announcing 35+ degrees over the WE (95 F apparently, thank you Google) – considering it’s spring still – yikes! lol

Laurelw glad you got some answers re: vitex. From memory I'm down your way! Sent a couple hours at Elliot Heads today and it was just stunning!

Sorry I haven't been on much everyone but all will be back to normal when I go home in two days! Having a great time at mums as usual and I cant think of a better place to spend a week of the school holidays at! I even managed to read a book over two nights which was a massive reminder how much I enjoy reading!! I haven't read much since having kids, used to always have my head in a book!
Will post some pics from the beach today on our Facebook page!
