The rules are of course different with ED being involved. If you can't do the diet without triggering those emotions then DON"T. You can still get a girl. Just do what you CAN do and let go of the rest. Exercise and one attempt both get great results. Coming off the Mirena may help as well.

The one thing I really, really do not want you to fall into is the idea of "OMG I'm 29 it will take me forever" because that is just straight up not the case in any way, shape, or form, and while fertility does decline over time, it is a very, very, VERY slow decline and those of us with proven fertility are going to be really basically just as fertile at 29 as at 24. This emotion has ruined more sways (including my own!! both DS 3 and 4 I thought I had to do everyhting under the sun to boost fertility and I was over 10 years older than you and still got pregnant right away) because people assume "I will obvs be much less fertile now than I used to be" and then they end up completely undermining themselves for NO REASON because most of us are still very very fertile. So please don't let that mess with your head. Time is on your side.
I wouldn't expect you to remember that, you have a lot of people wanting your advice! I'm doing the best I can, and being on Prozac really helps prevent the ED thoughts. Anyways, I get what you're saying about the fertility worries. I did the same thing with my second son- we had just gotten married, I was afraid I was too thin to conceive so I started eating tons of eggs, whole fat yogurt, and putting cream in everything. No wonder I had a boy I'm an L&D nurse and I take care of tons of women having babies in their 30s and even a few into their early 40s...so yeah, I probably need to calm down, haha.

We've decided to go for it. I had my IUD removed on 10/2, and DH is ready and wants to try (I also do not want a late July/August/September due date). I should ovulate some time in the next week, but I'm not going to chart my cycles anymore (makes me too neurotic). I totally accept the fact that by not doing the diet for 12 weeks my chances of a girl won't be nearly as good. I'm okay with that. I'm just hoping I'm doing enough different things from when I conceived my boys that it it might make a bit of a difference. I'll keep you updated!

Are you thinking that O came earlier than usual and you DTD too late? If so, it gives you another month to get your sway better.

No I don't want to be pregnant yet but worried we just dtd too close to O. I thought I'd got the high on the opk a week ago but it was just a few days. I've only just started to sway properly. Oh well chances probs slim.
