    Zoloft and TTC a girl

    Thinking about getting on Zoloft for a bit of anxiety/depression. That's the only option for pregnancy and bf'ing.

    Anyone know if it sways?

    You know, I am. I've suffered in the passed and Cymbalta really helped me. AFter a few months..I weaned off and have been great since (nearly 6 years!).

    However, all teh sudden--the anxiety and depression is creeping in. I feel lonely all the time. I am funcitoning just fine....but really have to push myself to be ok with daily living. I feel the need to talk w/ friends all day on the phone just to keep from crying and feeling isolated. It's just not me. I've felt this before...

    I'm going to call the dr. now. Thanks TTC5!

    I'm sorry you're not feeling yourself but I'm glad you're able to recognise it and get help early on. {hugs}

    It looks like anti-depressants may sway pink:

    The official story was that antidepressants in men 100% for sure swayed pink (I agree with this).

    The other official story is that antidepressants in women also sway pink because of acidity. Most medicines do tend to sway pink because they can suppress your fertility and interfere with hormone production. However, I know several people who have been on them and they have a plethora of boys, as in all boys and zero girls - then again I'm preselected to know an unusual number of women with unusual numbers of boys!

    Read this link from IG, I thought it was kinda interesting. http://www.in-gender.com/cs/forums/t/158706.aspx My q regarding zoloft and other antidepressants is if it's a chicken-egg scenario...as in, women who are maybe a bit more prone to anxiety may be more likely to conceive boys to begin with OR maybe if you're feeling emotionally off-kilter and then you start to feel better, if that may have an effect on your hormones entirely aside from any effect of the drug.

    With everything regarding swaying, if you need it, you NEED IT and it doesn't matter if it sways pink, blue, or plaid!! Good luck and I hope you feel better.

    I just saw something about anti-depressants and birth defects, so I would check with your doctor before trying to get pg on them. I think it was paxil or prozac though....
