Think about it. Atomic says that sometimes the most perfect sway can be the opposite. I think with swaying for a girl, obsessing on every detail and making the sway perfect is such a boy Mum trait you’re almost shooting yourself in the foot with that. It’s like trying to imitate being a girl Mum like an equation/ robot and not like a proper person with those traits would be like.

I know I’m 100 percent a boy Mum without a sway. And it’s only because I did sway and also went through a phase in my life that made me feel overwhelmed and unsure that I’ve got a girl on the way. If I was back working in my highly competitive male industry job I don’t think I’d have a chance getting a girl. Being a mother already has made me chilled out which plays a part too.

Personality factors, the PCOS, whatever DH brings to the table and being a vegetarian for that long means it has less of a punch than people who change their diets.

Atomic does talk about the "special mojo" that ruins otherwise good pink sways, maybe they all had that!!

When I was on Ingender I came to find out that one of the gals on there and I were actually neighbors. So we struck up a friendship, we both had 4 boys. She was rail thin and freaking insane LOL (to such extent that I unbefriended her and she ended up kind of stalking me for a while TBH) and while thankfully most of us are not quite that insane, that control freak thing is HUMUNGO. it really matters.

Now please, ladies, I mention this not so you can now turn ur lives upsidedown and inside out trying to uncontrolfreakify yourselves because that doesn't work, you only trade trying to control one thing for trying to control 5 others. I mention it to explain why it is (in addition to swaying not being 100% and also luck) people who seem like they "should" have girls, have boys, and also to hopefully prevent the "Swaymageddon 2017" mentalities that some people get into. While it feels counterintuitive, the best way to sway successfully is NOT to do every sway tactic under the sun to the nth degree.

It was crazy. I also look at women like Victoria Beckham who are super thin and have multiple boys, and that theory that beautiful women tend to have daughters? Megan Fox has 3 sons. I'm not trying to discount gender swaying, just saying that I think there is so much that goes into it that's it's hard to really ever 'know' for sure. I would love to do a huge study on my patients to look into this further, but there's no time for that when you're delivering babies [emoji4]

    I think this matters too

What we have to remember is that whatever gender we conceive it's the result of a lifetime of stuff and all the things we see or think we see is like the tip of a tiny iceberg sticking up from the water

But her personality was extremely girl. And because she was so strong in the girl personality side she got the daughters. It seems the ones with really strong gender personality traits the eating and supplements etc don’t sway. That’s my observation.

The other thing to keep in mind is the luck factor. I don't think swaying could ver be 100% or the whole human race would have died out a long time ago when no one had that much food, right? So there has to be either other factors or luck/randomness or most likely both.

So let's say person with 3 kiddos came into their first one 60% set for a girl, and then got "unlucky" or "lucky" depending on your perspective, and had a boy. Then their next conception they were more like 50-50 and had a boy. Third time through they were coming in 60% set for blue and had one. All these things are entirely possible and it would only be the smallest probably invisible differences in lifetime between the three conceptions

yes rail thin and insane!! thats exactly how id describe them, (hard work to be around if im honest) your so right about relaxed sways being better for pink, im convinced if you do what really works and cut out all the rest without obsessing you stand a much stronger chance. ive seen a few scary "Swaymageddon's" in the making and cant help but feel "this will end in a boy" when i read the posts i feel so mean admitting that, but in some cases it just seems like their personality or whatever you want to call it is going to override everything they do

Hey guys, just doing my first real delve into swaying and found this all really interesting. Yesterday I found out my HT cycle at HRC resulted in no transfer as my female embryo was abnormal.

I can't go through that again, it was exhausting and so stressful, and would like to move on on in a positive way. I have two gorgeous boys which I never saw coming as I'm one of girls, and although I love having boys I'm desperate for a girl.

I'm not a particularly intense person, and work in a 'girl' industry, I run a competitive cheerleading programme. Part of me wants to sway but I don't know if I have the energy!

Finding all the above about personality so interesting! I am definitely NOT a boy mum at all, yet that's what I've ended up with!

Is there such a thing as a very casual sway? From what you guys say above going all in and being obsessive doesn't work! Xx

flynns mummy im sorry your HT cycle ended like that, i cant begin to imagine how much of a rollercoaster going HT must be.

ive done 2 very laid back pink sways!! the first one was successful and im currently pregnant after the second sway but staying team green first time round i did worry that id been too laid back and not put enough effort or thought into it but it worked so now i feel much more confident in the laid back approach and it does seem to bring good results

both times i did 12 weeks on LE diet with one attempt in fertile window

good luck with whatever you decide to do
