Pbn I feel like I want to chicken out on BD tonight! I'm just worried that if we BD tonight and I get solid smiley tomorrow or Monday, I'll be stressed about when to do that 2nd attempt b/c I don't want it too close to today's, but I don't want to miss O, if by chance it happens too close to my LH surge. I feel like I just can't get this timing stuff right!
You really think we should BD tonight, or wait until solid smiley & then start e3d?

Abc that's fine!! Go with what you are comfortable with xxoo you won't miss out as you'll either get a solid smiley or have your ultrasound before. The reason I think an earlier bd or two well before o is good is not as an attempt (would be too early) but to introduce fresh sperm into your body so your body is more familiar with it and may not try so hard to seek and destroy it ([emoji23]) when you have your actual attempt. Of course though people get pregnant off one hit wonders all the time (myself included) but its a simple way to help improve your body's receptiveness to sperm when you are actually trying. Either that or bding regularly after o to af will help too.

Huh. Interesting I hadn't heard about the sperm thing! Doesn't atomic believe more semen may raise T levels in females though? Although I know she's starting to question whether high T really sways boy anyways, as Clomid raises T and a lot of high T women still get girls.
Ugh - I don't know! I guess we'll make it a game time decision tonight!

I don't know about whether she believes it raises t or not? We have discussed though that bding outside fertile window (1-2 times a week) can improve the female body's acceptance of sperm. I do recall her saying bding between af to o can be risky in case of earlier o though. Usually someone who o's from say cd14 onwards regularly is pretty safe dtd cd7, 8 or 9 and someone who generally o's later could stretch that out to cd11.....
If you're wanting an attempt at pos opk then I'd hold off on doing the e3d. E3d is supposed to take the stress out of when to bd not add to it because you stick to every 3rd (every 72 hours) day regardless of opk (most choose not to do opks for this reason). I think you're best holding off bding and seeing what your u/s result brings and your opks. That way you wont be stressing about an early o and where your attempt will be in relation to it

Pbn I reallllly hope I did O on CD 16 rather than 13. Would that make sense having a negative OPK on cd 14 and 16 though? Who knows. I just like our attempts better on cd 16, haha. My boys are being crazy right now so I have your link marked to read after they're in bed

Greydore I wonder how cd15's opk would have looked [emoji848] one of those we'll never know at this stage though. In the plus side you oed, you had attempts in either way and now we wait..... [emoji937][emoji352][emoji102]

Ok we ended up BD-ing this afternoon LOL!!! I gave myself a compromise - we were going to BD late tonight (we have people coming over this evening so it would have had to be late!), so I decided let's just sneak one in this afternoon so that if we need to get another attempt in within the next couple of days b/c of an earlier +opk, at least there are going to be more hours separating the two attempts!! We'll have to see now what happens w/ my OPKs, which I'll still do since I know I'll get a positive at some point. I still think it'll probably be Monday or Tuesday (CD12 or 13), since my body is pretty consistent w/ the OPKs. I've read most women don't ovulate until 7-10 days after finishing Clomid, and that you typically ovulate later on Clomid than usual (which I think may have happened in my last cycle), and I take awhile to ovulate after +opk, so I would pretty surprised if it happens before CD14. I'm just going to base our next attempt now on +OPK and/or the Tuesday ultrasound. After we have the 2nd attempt, we'll just continue to BD every 3 days or so until O is confirmed. I feel I will be ok if worst case we end up w/ 2 attempts in my fertile window that are separated by a 60-72 hour period, since really *most* sperm are not going to survive longer than that anyways.
So we have a planSort of.
