Bec, I found out I have hypothyroidism when my cycle was getting jacked up when TTC with this one. I Didn't know that I wasn't supposed to ttc until my thyroid was in check. It can cause m/c and birth defects so hold off. I just take a little pill every morning at 5 a.m then go back to bed. It's a lifetime thing but not horrible. The longest thing is trying to make sure you have the right dosage. They will have you test it like every 6-8 weeks I think. They wanted me to start and .25 but I decided to go start at .50 so I could go up or down and not mess with it for 6 months of .50 worked perfectly. The other possibility is having your thyroid removed but that's not that common I think.
LOL! on the names Hobber! You guys can use Carrigan if you want to. I think looking at girl names you like can ease the blow a bit.

Iluv, congrats on your healthy baby nephew!
Oh I know about the risks of hypo/hyperthyroidism, I was just saying to MFC that there might only be small abnormalities that aren't actually defined as hypo/hyperthyroidism, if that makes senses? In the past I have been borderline hyperthyroidism, I just have regular monitoring. Anyway, glad to hear your thyroid is now under control

Thanks, Flava. I'm REALLY hoping we get a lucky miracle natural pregnancy, you have no idea how much I hope this happens. Thinking about financing IVF just makes me freak out. Infertility is really a huge giant nightmare. I hope everyone here, despite wanting a boy so badly, realizes that being able to have a baby at all is such an incredible blessing. On the other infertility site I'm on now, you can't even mention a pregnancy, m/c, or child without a bold disclaimer ahead of your comment. It is really heartbreaking. And I am actually one of the luckier ones. There are so many women there who have DH's with ZERO sperm, and they have to do these super complicated IVFs where they surgically extract one from the testes, and lots of them just use donor sperm. They have been ttc for 5 years, stuff like that. There are a lot of DHs on there also. Anyway, just a shot of perspective for us all. (:
But we are just going with the flow right now. I'm trying to gather research about IVF, etc, and just starting the process rolling with gaining info. We haven't even had RE appts yet or anything, but I feel like it's best to keep the faith and keep trying and also start thinking about alternative options. I just don't know how we'll pay for it, but I have to keep the faith about that one also. God willing, we'll find a way.
Flava, don't YOU give up, though. Dreams mean nothing....there is no reason to think you can't conceive a boy at all!!!!
