Hi Girls,
I have PCOS and i had an appointment with doctor today. She prescribed me femara and told to have less carbs and fats. But i have heard that fats are mandatory to stay fertile. Please help me. This is my 2nd month after chemical.

Good fats, yes!!! Avocados are healthy fats that’s are excellent for egg health. I have PCOS as well, and they made a huge difference in the size of my eggs from immature, to plump and healthy. Olive oil is another great fat to incorporate in your diet. 2015 2015

December 1st, 2017, 10:17 AM #3Yes fats are important! You'll stop ovulating without eating enough of them. 50-60g fat is recommended for PCOS diet. '12 '12

 Hi Girls,

Thanks for replying. I will include fats in my diet. So i only need to eliminate carbs from my diet, which is a difficult task.

December 1st, 2017, 11:48 AM #5You don't need to eliminate carbs for PCOS, just reduce them. If you're eating the 50-60g fat and the 50-60g protein, then that by itself helps reduce the amount of carbs. It is best to stick to whole grains and skip sugar. '12 '12

 Hi Ksmom,

Thankyou for providing me all the useful information. I feel blessed with this site. One more question i wanted to ask is dairy allowed on PCOS?

 TIA

-
December 1st, 2017, 03:25 PM #7Yes, but only full fat dairy. Make sure any dairy fits into your overall totals for the day.

 Good luck to you!
