16+5 potty shot boy or girl

Hi everyone!
I had a private US done at 16+5 weeks and I was told boy.
I’ve since posted my scan onto 3 nub/gender guessing groups on Facebook and nearly every single person has guessed girl.

I’m wondering if anyone has had a boy scan like mine? I’m thinking maybe what you can see on the scan is the scrotum and the penis was up out of the way and the tech saw it in the live scan but just didn’t capture it? Or does anybody think there’s a possibility tech got it wrong?

I have my anomaly scan on 28th December so I will ask again but I’m a bit nervous now.

At this point you should be able to see a pretty clear peener on a potty shot. I would also say girl. I agree it's a little different than the classic but still well within what I've seen on female ultrasounds.

Were you hoping for a boy??

Thank you for replying! I’ll be honest I was hoping for a girl. I loosely swayed and managed to lose 2 and a half stone before conceiving so when she said boy I was a bit surprised. I already have a 3 year old girl (which I swayed for) and was desperate to give her a sister and re-use all her old beautiful clothes that I haven’t brought myself to get rid of yet. If it does turn it to be a boy of course I’ll be over the moon at having a healthy baby, just got my fingers crossed that the tech was wrong, I know it’s quite rare for them to say boy and it be wrong x

Oh gosh that's a hard one, I'm sorry! While I agree that usually the techs see way more in the scans than they do in the pics we get, and it is an unusal looking girl shot, it does look pink to me. So I would say it's best to expect a boy but don't paint the nursery yet.
