Wanting to start a family in your mid-thirties seems like an impossible idea. Well, it is true for me. After a year of unprotected sex and still not able to conceive, I wanted to get myself checked and I did it too. All the FSH, LH, androgen levels and what not, I got them done all. Everything was fine. What was not fine was my husband. Initially, he put up a resistance to being tested to such an extent that I thought; maybe he wanted out of our relationship. Ultimately he went through all tests and guess what, his semen analysis did not meet the mark. Did he know already? How could he, he was never in a serious relationship with me. What are the factors that affect semen quality? How expensive are the DNA analysis of sperm? Is the whole procedure covered by insurance? All these questions keep popping in my head but my husband's awkward attitude not helping at all. How can I help him?

I would consult with the doctor that did the tests for you. It really depends on what his issue is exactly. There are fertility vitamins for men and I do highly recommend those but without knowing specifics, it is hard to make a recommendation. Sorry.
