Dreaming how devastating. I’m so happy to hear your little one has a nice strong heartbeat.

I don’t have an appointment til I’m 9 weeks, and I don’t know if I’ll even get an ultrasound then :/ I’m getting antsy!

Generally our 1st app in hosp is at 12 weeks so most book a private scan for reassurance. I'm being scanned early due to previous miscarriages. Could u ask them to scan u at your 9w app ? Or could u go privately (not sure of cost where u are) what's your edd? I think we got bfp around the same time

Grace I am so sorry about the loss of one of your twins, I’ll be thinking of you.

Dreaming I’m due August 8. I could do a private scan but it’s really expensive. Some doctors do routine scans around 8 weeks for dating, but not all do. I could always scan myself at work, but our machine isn’t that sensitive and I’m not trained at reading them. I might just have to be patient!

Grace, oh no! I’m so so sorry for the loss of one of your twins! That’s truly heartbreaking! So hoping with you that twin B continues to grow healthy and strong! As someone pregnant with twins, I can only imagine your mixed feelings, with the loss of one yet the good news of the health of the other. I’m glad you have such a good attitude about it!

DreamingRainbow, don’t worry about being a downer on the group, you’re not. We all have fears, anxieties and struggles, and are here to support each other through it all. Hoping and praying with you for your little miracle to stay and grow big and healthy. We’re not telling our family until the 30th. Best of luck with your scan in 2 weeks and merry Christmas!

I feel the exact same as you Dreaming!
I had a scare Thursday night - I was in the store doing some Christmas shopping and all of a sudden I felt wet down below. I rushed home and sure enough I was bleeding. I called the doctor and, since the bleeding wasn't heavy, they asked me to call the office first thing in the morning. I stayed in bed the remainder of the evening and the bleeding got lighter. Hubby and I was so scared and I was thinking the worse because when I woke up the next day my breasts weren't sore and I felt different - I didn't even feel nauseated. I tried not to freak out. The doctor didn't see me until noon! They checked baby and the heartbeat was strong and I am only very lightly spotting but it was a reminder how quickly things can change. I'm sorry - I also don't want to be a downer. That was pretty scary though. Funny enough - the nausea and sore breasts are back in full force this morning!
Prayers for all our little ones!!

Thanks! I will definitely get some rest. I have my family coming over for the holidays but hopefully the other ladies with help out a lot - they usually do. I haven't announced yet - thinking about doing it during dinner on Christmas Eve...nervous about it though, esp with the spotting.

Christmas would be such a great time to announce! Please share your stories when you ladies decide to do it.

My parents are huge wine lovers so this is how we are telling them! It will be the day after Christmas. They live out of town and I can’t wait for them to know, because we’ve told almost everyone else!

sorry to hear of your bleed Mika1104 glad there is a heartbeat and your symptoms are back.
I have cramping but no bleeding im going to be an anxious mess til my 12 week scan on the 11th of january, trying to enjoy xmas pregnant with my baby girl and try not to be too sad about her sister as i don't know what stress would do to the one i still have xxx

Greydore, that is such a clever idea! I can't wait to read all about it after you present it to them! I'm doing a coffee mug Christmas present for my mom to unwrap that says grandmother of twins. I won't see her till the 30th, so I'll give it to her to unwrap then....
