New year and a first attempt

Happy 2018 everyone! Hope you all had a great night!

Tonight was our first attempt, I’m hopeful but also skeptical....yesterday afternoon I took an OPK and it turned out negative, today around 12 I just had a very strong feeling to take another OPK, being afraid of missing my fertile window/ovulation I took another OPK and to me it looked positive, the test line was ever so slightly lighter then the reference line, so very quickly my husband and I decided to DTD. I’m just hoping that if I’m still not too close to ovulation I still have a chance at falling pregnant. Being that I have been swaying for 12+ week I’m sure my “environment” is a little more harsh then it should be, but I guess time will tell! Just thought I’d share for any feedback! Happy new year!!

    Thank you so much atomic!

Quick question, should we refrain from having sex until I get a BFP or my period? Or is it ok as long as he does not go in me? Hubby ended up abstaining for 9 days until last night, so we are both curious now as to what we should do!

It's fine to pull out or use birth control in the 2ww.

Some people will tell you not to, will warn you off female O say it raises testosterone or whatever but seriously - I have seen people not having sex for 6 months other than attempts and still getting boys. I think some sources like to make swaying so impossible that no one can ever do it, so they can then turn around and always find a reason why a sway makes an opposite.

I don’t even read other sites anymore on swaying as a lot of them just make it absolutely impossible to stick to a sway. I used to read some older sway tactics and those just seemed so absolutely impossible, I have no clue how people stuck to them! Thank you for your response!

They didn't, that's the thing. The people who got opposites, there was always something to blame since no one could possibly do all that stuff, or else they went on so long not getting pregnant that they gave up on swaying totally. Then the people who succeeded were either included anyway even when they didn't do everything or else they fibbed on their sways. Since we have a hard time getting pregnant on this site even with fairly light sways, I cannot believe any more that anyone is really getting pregnant doing all that stuff that they claim on the other sites. It just cannot be the case that our experiences are so different from theirs. :/

My biggest fear is not being able to get pregnant and I feel as if my sway is pretty lax, so I don’t know how they could have any success unless like you said they lie about what they did in their sway! Now that I’ve been swaying for a while I feel like I’m having a little more clarity that this will only increase my CHANCES of having a girl, and not GARUNTEE I will have a girl. It’s super stressful as it is here (no offense) I don’t see how anyone could pull it off on any of the other more stricter sites. It’s crazy because I have a friend who has a total BOY lifestyle and diet, and yet she has all girls (not saying that swaying doesn’t work) but sometimes it may come down to chance, I have no clue how people stick with the IG diet and all of those other diets from in gender I think it was called, and even if they could I don’t see how they could sway that way for as long as needed. I feel like this site is actually do-able so I’m very grateful for that. This post was all over the place, and I apologize for that!

There are just so many other things that have happened over the course of a person's life! How could anything we do for a few weeks really 100% undo a lifetime of doing whatever it was that got us 2-3-4 boys in the first place? There are some things that are just really ingrained and take time to change. There are just things we can't change and things we don't know, and I just hate it that anyone promises things that are unrealistic. The reason we call it swaying is because it's gentle like the wind in the trees. People who need guarantees have to go high tech.
