I致e been eating the brown rice and hate it! I知 going to switch over to white rice now! Should I be cutting out wheat all in all, I do eat wheat bread/wraps along with whole grain bread. Should I strictly go whole grain? I知 getting back in to my sway tomorrow, I had a little bit of a break, I got all of my red meat cravings and junk food cravings out the door and am going to start fresh tomorrow, with tracking and everything again, I feel like that値l be plenty of time since we池e not going to be trying until May.

I think I may have already explained this before but the jury is out on white vs. brown rice so use whichever one makes it easier on you.

Some people do better cutting out wheat totaly but you were on this more as a preventative, right?? I would probably not take that step yet as it makes it much harder to stick to the diet.

Yes that's more than enough time - please go easy on yourself since you are very far out from TTC anyway and if you slip up, it's no big deal.

Thank you for all the info atomic, yes I’m just on it for preventative. I’ll keep having wheat in small portions I don’t want to go crazy with my sway this time around, it drive me crazy last time (no ones fault but my own)

I’m going easy, I’ve had quite a bit of red meat last week, and I’ve been wondering something. Years ago when I was vegetarian I was very anemic, recently I’ve been having some of the same symptoms of those that I had while I was anemic. I’ve been bruising more often out of no where and very very tired quite often etc. I was craving red meat for a while and gave in even though I know it’s not pink friendly. I plan on going to the dr soon to get blood work done, if I am anemic again (my body wasn’t absorbing any iron when I was vegetarian even on supplements) would it hinder my sway? I know I’m a ways out which is why I wasn’t going crazy on restrictions with what I could and couldn’t eat, but I really don’t want to go back to eating red meat in a daily basis.

Being anemic does not hinder your sway but it may lower odds of conception if it gets bad enough.

I want you on supplements NOW today. Red meat is really not the best way to get your iron levels up (I am also prone to anemia and just got it even though I eat red meat and cook in cast iron pans) I don't know what was happening in the past but I'd suggest trying a supplement where the iron is measured at 30-60 mg and NOT the ones that come in the hundreds of milligrams. Those ones are very badly used by the body and it's not at all unusual for people to take them and not have their iron improve at all. Also be sure you're taking it with a meal, with something containing Vit. C, and not with coffee, tea, dairy foods/calcium, or whole grains as they may inhibit your body's ability to absorb iron.

Thank you! I’ll definitely be picking up some supplements today. Hopefully, they will help this time around, I may have been taking the wrong ones, it was back in 2009 so I don’t remember what I was taking for it. I’m definitely off the red meat as of today, I don’t want it to hinder my sway, especially if it’s not going to do anything to help anemia.

I was off my sway for about a month, getting back on it this week. Will it be enough time if I’m not trying until May? Will swaying prior to the loss still count as time towards my sway even if I was off diet and excersize for a month?

Yes, your swaying prior to the loss does count.
