Thank you. The sad part is is that I was excited leaving the doctor’s office, and other people’s reactions are really getting to me.

Oh my, This is exactly what gets to me when I find out. It's like when people ask what we have I sort of brace myself for the reaction/comments. I actually dread coming home with a new born because I know what I'll have to listen to which should just not be how you feel after bringing a little miracle into the world. My family are fine it's all the friends/neighbours/big mouth strangers that say stupid things. It gets me down and it shouldn't but you just can't help it. At least nowadays the first reaction I get is - you look too young to have 5 kids!

Greydore, I'm so sorry that's the reaction people are having. I know that is hurtful, however well intended they are. I think it'll be fun watching your boys all playing together as they grow, and I think bunk beds and planning it all sounds fun and wonderful! I have four boys,

I've been having lots of cramping and more frequent braxton hicks contractions all weekend and today. It wouldn't worry me if I was just carrying one, but I'm nervous since theirs two and they say it's so different with twins. So I have an apt at four to go see my Dr and get my cervical length checked. I hate to cry wolf, but I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I ignored it and it turned out to be something I should've seen the dr for.

Greydore it's awful that people are taking away from your joy! I fully expect to get the same reaction if this turns out to be my 3rd girl. When i huat gave birth to my 2nd daughter the midwife in the delivery room announced I should "shoot for the boy next time. I was so stunned I just replied saying "can you cut the cord from this one first?!"
People say things without even thinking them through.
I know it's easier said than done but try to let it wash over u. U have a healthy baby boy on the way who will be loved and will be so excited to have 2 older brothers to play with. And vent here too of course !

I haven’t been super active on here, I’ve been so nervous I might get gender disappointment.

I did just read your post Greydore- I hate when people say stuff like that. You know it’s just them projecting on you. When we tell people we are pregnant with our third we either get “wow three, you guys are crazy” or “I bet your DH is really hoping for a boy this time”. Can’t people just be excited for a new baby?!

We haven’t even announced this pregnancy yet. We don’t want all the rude comments over how many kids we have. We raise them and fully support them ourselves and none of those people complaining live in our house so I don’t know what business it is of theirs how many kids we have.
