Hi. Just need the ladies opinion if anyone dyed their hair when TTC. Of cos im sceptical but too much of white hair and cant bear not to do anything about it. So just wondering if it may do any harm or accidentally go out of my sway. Sounds weird but that is how scared I am as my diet and DTD sequence is on par...

I dont think it should it affect ttc, ive always worried about it during the preg.
I think sometimes this swaying gets u to look at every little thing that your gonna get yourself in a state. I would focus on the main things like diet, and the other boy stuff (im swaying girl) and put the rest down to whats meant to be
Best of luck

Thats such a relief.. The fear factors are when people tells you when you are TTC the dye will penetrate into the body and get to the stomach and affect the baby.. Lived with that fear all along.. Thanks for clearing my doubts ladies..

If you were working in a hair dye salon and up to your elbows all day every day then yes maybe that is a concern. But just occasionally dying your hair - I really don't think it's a huge deal. I dyed my hair before pregnancy, then 1-2 times during, and then right after and it worked out just fine for me. But you have to follow your heart and do what you feel comfortable with.

The stress I get from having gray hair has to outweigh any possible risks from the hair dye LOL...that's what I figured, anyway.

Now im in 28weeks. To dye I will go for safer option like Henna. Festive is around the corner and would like suggestions from the ladies here if anyone rebonded their hair during their 3rd trimester. Any harmful effects to baby. Thinking of DIY instead of going to saloon... Appreciate any advise.

Hiya im 31 weeks preg and having lived all preg with white hair i couldnt take it anymore and dyed my hair at the weekend plus dont want to go into labour looking a even bigger mess with a head full of white hairs
I used no amonia hair dye at home and had no reaction. It is advised to do a patch test first though.
In previous pregnancies i have dyed my hair on more than one occasion but its always worrying if anything bad would come of it.
I think first trimester is always the most worrying one, hopefully by 3rd its alot safer.
Also i have always been on edge using Henna as I could never find one that i felt was pure and natural, most of the henna id get my hands on probably mixed with alot of other stuff so didnt want to risk a reaction to something I have no idea about.
Recently had a wedding and reallly wanted henna designs on my hands but had to back down as wasnt worth the risk.
If you can get pure Henna then that may be a better optionLast edited by Parying4agirl; October 16th, 2018 at 07:14 AM.
