Nope the dealbreaker is 7 days or less. 7 days is when the corpus luteum starts to break down and the body will release the secondary estrogen surge to maintain the lining. So if that doesn't happen, the CL will break down at that point and the lining starts to come off.
Looking at your chart I agree that looks ovulatory to me. May I ask how she determined whether you had ovulated or not?? Because your chart is obviously ovulatory!
You need a new doctor. 33 is NOT advanced maternal age and any doctor, in this day and age, who shames any 33 year old woman who wants a baby is not going to be serving you as well as you deserve.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Seriously - you need a new doctor. We do occasionally run across the docs especially in Europe and the UK who "don't believe in" short LP as a problem, but stating that the length of time from ovulation to your period cannot change is simply wrong and is dangerous misinformation. It's true that often when the cycle varies it IS the AF- O period and then there will be a 14 day LP tacked onto that, but a short LP is absolutely a real thing!
I'd really like to know how she determined you didn't ovulate.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

My new appointment at the end of June is with a new gyn actually! I agree that she doesn’t match with me anymore. When I wanted a second baby I was 32 (I am 34 actually - sorry....my mummy brain lol..) and she was like „Oh...then ttc for 6 months and when it doesn’t work then hurry up and make a new appointment, because at your age we don’t have time to lose!“
She did an U/S and couldn’t see any corpus luteum. And she said that this means I didn’t ovulate because if I had ovulated then a corpus luteum would be visible for a while.

Help!! Too short LP and my attempt is coming up 😞
Oh, and Atomic - I had about 5 normal cycles with a period postpartum before I started the LE diet, and all have been with a normal LP of 12-13 days (except the 1st cycle after the first period, it also was with 8 days LP. But then it quickly went back to normal).
So it’s clearly the diet which stresses my body. I have a feeling that it wants to tell me „Oh. There‘s bad times coming up, so it’s either lactating OR getting pregnant. Let’s rather safe the born baby than an unborn!“ and it shortened my normal cycle length...
Could this be true?
My BMI went from 21,5 to 20,7, if this is important.

Doctors can miss the corpus luteum. There are women who are several weeks pregnant whose docs can't find the CL (but they ovulated, since they're pregnant!) I'm with you here. I find an error more likely than a normal cycle (while it's possible to have a relatively normal anovulatory cycle, usually it's shorter or longer and not so close to normal range) with a temp rise.
I don't think your body puts that much thought into it...whenever it feels like it can't sustain a pregnancy, too little food, too much exercise, and yes, breastfeeding can definitely play a role, anything that just feels like a strain on your body. But don't overthink it. It doesn't mean you need to give up breastfeeding, it just means you need to eat more! At BMI 21 that is when I want you to hold steady on weight anyway so no more weight loss.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
