Hi there! I can’t speak as to trends, just personal experience... This LO was conceived at 11pm LOL. We went the abstaining route, so your frequency may kinda direct your timing. We previously had been trying frequent release so our attempts were coordinated with his most recent release (if that makes sense). Good luck and pink dust!

This has been asked before, and I think the general consensus is that it's a negligible difference -- as in, no way really sways that much. Sperm is slightly higher (and of better quality) in the AM, and I remember reading a poll ages ago (maybe on Baby Center?) that had more moms getting boys in the morning, but there's plenty of moms on here who get both at both times (and what does that leave the afternoon? :P).
I did conceive DD with evening attempts -- this current pregnancy (a boy sway) was with almost all AM attempts. Don't know what we're having, so don't put too much on that!
I think in light of all of the other sway things, time of day is really a nonfactor if that helps

I conceived my daughter in the wee hours of the morning, I think around 3 am, if I remember right. It was last thing before going to sleep, after having stayed up really late.
I think the general consensus is that time of dtd doesn't sway, but there is a theory going around here that if you get AF in the morning that sways boy, and in the evening girl. Which is bad for me because this cycle I got AF in the morning.born 2017 after girl sway: AI + Clomid
born 2019 after girl sway. : AI + j&d (no Clomid)
Due #3 Nov 2020: AI + breastfeeding

We know that things like diet 12 weeks and exercise sways. We believe that this is because these things send a signal to your body that a particular gender has a better chance of survival to adulthood to pass down genes to future generations. Try as I might I can come up with NO evolutionary reason why BD in the morning or night would have evolved to sway any particular way, especially given that historically people had very little privacy and probably were not BD in the daytime very often at all (and honestly still aren't much). If a boy doesn't have enough nutrients at 8 pm, he is not going to suddenly have enough nutrients at 8 am and thus I do not believe that this could possibly be a thing.
Got my daughter at night - and also 3 of 4 boys at night (I think I may have BD once in the afternoon with my first but also BD at night as well). My 4th boy was a sneak attack, not sure when I got him.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

No, that is not a theory, it is simply an interesting observation we are keeping an eye on. We have noticed that a good number of people have seen their periods come at different times of day when swaying. We have not EVER tracked these people to see if they got more boys or girls than they statistically "should" have, it's just something we have found intriguing and are watching but we don't even know that people who experience this weird trend have any more boys/girls than others.

Do we know if caffeine effects things, with DH? Like say, having coffee in the morning, then DTD? Like, does it make the spermies swim faster?

The reason I ask is because last time I swayed pink, we DTD in the morning...and I'd always wondered if DH's caffeine an hour before had any affect on things. (We had a boy). All others were night.

That is the theory, but I see no evidence that that is even the case. No one has ever connected "fast swimming" sperm with more boys conceived and the entire thing is based on the idea that "Y sperm are fast" but that's been completely debunked and you can read about that here: https://genderdreaming.com/forum/swa...m-y-sperm.html In fact, it's been proven that sperm that swim very quickly to the egg are dead on arrival and cannot fertilize any egg at all and will simply die. They appear to serve some other purpose that we do not know.
LOTS of blue swayers have their husbands deliberately drink caffeine before intercourse. And yet we still have plenty of pink opposites (and while I have not tracked this particular thing on its own, I feel we have MORE opposites among the people who do these old school sway tactics among blue swayers)
So this is not a thing I think makes any difference at all and I suggest just doing what works for you and hubby.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
