I realized today I can't see my private forum because my 6 months is up so if you responded I won't see it. We went ahead and dtd anyway. I think the other couple of months we had attempts we tried too early so hopefully that is not the case this month.

I strongly suggest adding in another attempt tonight or tomorrow. I am worried it may be too early as well so I really would love to see you have one more BD between now and CD 13 because we have been at this a while now if I recall correctly.

Either way, from here on in I want you to pick it up with e4d counting from the CD 11 BD that you just did. this means you'll BD next for sure on CD 14 but since i'm afraid that may be too late i urge you bd cd 12 or 13 in addition.

Would another attempt tonight or tomorrow hurt my chances of pink because I thought we were to do one attempt onlly for pink? I am temping and it isn't going well. I feel like it's a bit all over the place. Can't tell if I had my shift today. I will check tomorrow.

We have tried conceiving three times. Once in April but then I don't think I ovulated because I didn't get a period for like 50 days. Then in May I Didn't want to try because I had gained 5 lbs from eating more to get my period back. In June, we had some chaos with my older child so we tried again in July (but too early I think). And we tried last night. I am now 104 lbs and feeling pretty stable because I have limited my exercise. The over exercise was making me super weak. I'm definitely lacking muscle though. Here is my temps below. I am just worried because I am pretty sure I ovulate around day 12/13 so then wouldn't another attempt put me in boy territory? For my first boy, we had sex twice in one night and for the second I can't quite remember but I think it was sex with release one night and sex with no release the second night. Given your age it is time to add an attempt. Time is not on our side. Whether you've tried 3 times or all 6 months I would be telling you to add an attempt now (regardless of age) and your age only means we HAVE TO add an attempt now because that attempt you had yesterday will have slim chances if you O on CD 14, for instance.

2 attempts has been barely worse than one attempt of late (I think it's 68 vs. 69% now) and I really urge you to BD tonight. If you don't get pregnant you have zero chance of a girl.

You did have something of a dip on CD 11 and a rise on CD 12 but I can't sign off on O having happened yet, I need 3 temps above "coverline" and in this case your CD 6 temp is the same as CD 12, and while the CD 6 may have been a fluke, the CD 12 may be a fluke instead and we just don't know what is happening yet.

Have attempt tonight and then pick it up with e4d. If you really can't stand to hit it with attempt CD 11, 12, and then 14, that's fine, count the e4d from CD 12 instead and have it CD 15, the important thing is that you're continuing attempts past when you think you've ovulated in order to be sure you're covered in case of delayed ovulation like you had in April.

I think my message from this morning didn't post but if I accidentally posted it elsewhere, I apologize!

So my temp this morning CD13 is 97.66. FF says I likely ovulated on CD 12.

We had first attempt CD11 around 11pm
We had second attempt CD12 around 430 pm.
I take my temps at 7am.

My question is, how likely is it the CD12 attempt would do anything given they have to swim up, capacitate, etc and I guess the egg will live 24 hrs max. What I mean is, if I had the dip the morning of CD11 and by CD 12 my temp was already up, is there sort of a length of time it takes for the progesterone increase to register?

I noticed that CD 11 I had a lot of ewcm (but less than non sway months) and on CD 12 I had pretty much none all day on my panties (sorry TMI for others reading!) I tried to check my cervix but I am not that great at checking and what I found was not really stretchy, it was more sticky if that makes sense.

I guess now I just wait but I am mostly concerned that the CD12 attempt was two attempts in the fertile window which is bad for pink, right?

I got a girl at 41 that way so I know it's possible. Just be sure you get off and lay flat fairly quickly to minimize seepage LOL

Dream, your main concern now is that you need to get pregnant and you likely had only one attempt. While I can't know, if temp was legitimately up already on CD 12 (it could have been a fluke high temp, though, and O could have occurred later than we think because we look at the overall pattern of temps and not any one day)

You need to put the fear of one attempt away now. It's not helping us do what we need to do which is to get you pregnant now. Time for two attempts from here on in.

Just so you understand, the egg doesn't really live 24 hours. That is a theoretical maximum designed to allow people to use natural family planning as a birth control method. Eggs very likely live a much shorter length of time and are likely only fertilizable even shorter time than they're technically alive. the 24 hour thing was never meant to be used the way Shettles and swaying sites use it - it's not a guideline for conceiving, it's an imaginary number designed to prevent conceiving.

So unless that temp was a fluke high that was actually lower, it's probable that the CD 11 was the only attempt we got in in time.

Thanks Atomic, today my temp was 97.59 so I think I did ovulate day 11. I don't really understand why my opk was positive at noon on cd 11 then? I thought it goes positive up to a few days to 12 hours before. So if I ovulated day 11 and by day 12 the temp had already gone up then I must have ovulated fairly early in the day I would think?

So when you say have two attempts, what do you think I should do wrt timing two attempts? Do you mean two back to back attempts? Like o-2 and O-1 or do you mean e4d and then one at opk+? I really truly think I do not
Ovulate any later than day 12 and have a 16 day LP. I had one day sex for my second on day 11 (with the big O) and tracking my CM for months it is always gone by day 12 except the month I had a 50 day cycle. I know we can't predict future ovulation.

The mysteries of OPK are legend LOL, basically it amounts to that they're lousy tech but they're all we have. :/

I really think you would benefit from the e4d. That way if you do end up Oing on CD 11 and get OPK at the literal last minute it's entirely possible we can luck our way into a well timed attempt (say CD 9 or 10) and then folloing up with the pos OPK attempt and we have our two attempts, without having to time BOTH attempts based on a pos OPK that may come too late to be of much benefit for us.

Now, if you are doing the e4d attempts and u realize "ok my e4d will fall on CD 11, then you should absolutely have attempt CD 10 and then CD 11 and keep going with e4d at least 1-2 go-rounds afterwards just in the off chance u do have a delayed O one month.
