scan day tomorrow... and so scared

Tomorrow I'm having my dating scan and will be 13+2 so lmow there's a good chance I'll see what this baby is from the nub and I'm pretty sure I'll see that it is DS4 and that my pink dreams will be over forever.

I swayed pink with DS2, DS3 was a surprise and this one was a surprise too (contraception failure). My OH hadn't even wanted another so really I'm lucky to have this one at all and especially lucky as this baby had a twin that didn't make it (from scan at 7 weeks) which has made me slightly higher risk of losing this one.

SO I'm really grateful for this baby yet also terrified that the girl I've wanted my whole life might never join my family. I'm one of 4 girls myself and always hoped for the same.

It's too late to hope and pray as this baby already is whatever he/she is... so feel like worrying is pointless too but can't help it

I’m sure it’s wise to be prepared for another boy, but until you know for certain there’s always hope! I had totally resigned myself to this being a boy and I was wrong! And being an oopsie baby is great for a girl from what I’ve heard. Good luck to you and I hope you have a healthy and happy 9 months!!

Heaps of pink dust to you, hope you hear that bub is healthy and that you get that special icing on the cake with a girlie!
It’s heartwarmi for me to see someone that comes from a group of girl only siblings to want that. I hope my three will appreciate it that much one day

Hugs! I have 5 boys, so I guess I can say I know the feeling well. I hope the baby is healthy and GD fades fast. Just weird question, how can the sonographer be sure of the gender so early? As a sonographer myself, gender usually isnt confirmed, just guessed, until later gestation. Nub guessing is for the forums. Our job is photography to make sure of health. At 15/16 weeks usually gender is confirmed.

I should add, I spent much more time in vascular sonography. So obviously I can be wrong about what sonographers are doing nowadays for gender scans. As I'm sure they didn't say it if there was any doubt, but I'm confused about it being this early.

I hope that baby brings you incredible joy. These boys find a way of doing that with no strings attached. [emoji847]

I'm so sorry we didn't hear what we were all hoping for. I do want to congratulate you on your son though - my 4th son is the child the most like me and he's a dream come true - a dream I didn't even know I had.

This. I am an OB sonographer at a high risk office and we would never guess gender that early.
