I am trying to decide when to DTD for this sway and I live in the U.K. which is in the northern hemisphere.
I am Scared as I was realising that DD1 was conceived Xmas time, which is away from Friendly Boy conception months of Sept-Nov
DS was conceived in November and DD2 was conceived in early July which is also not a boy friendly conception month.
And I’m now debating what to do for DC4 I want to TTC.
I was thinking I really wanted to do a better sway, as my calorie intake was close 2000 a day lately and I wanted to TTC in early October to give myself the chance to actually lower calories for diet and be more able to process everything and feel ready.. But it dawned on me that October is a boy friendly conception month and I wanted to hear of ladies that did conceive girls during that month especially when swaying pink More like in PCOS style.
Thank you

Of course they have, because babies of both sexes are born at any given time. I think the sway months are way overblown (and would wager the slight gender ratio changes in any direction are based on lifestyle changes during those times; example, warmer months could maybe impact sperm for some, or the harvest season in the Northern Hemisphere is why Sept-Dec are classically boy months). So it's not like the months themselves hold a special power, and I think temperatures are often too variable to think they have consistent impacts-- and I certainly don't think ions mean anything. I conceived my DD right in the middle of September, but conceived this (hopefully boy) baby in April. I heard some people say April specifically was a girl month yet I've encountered maybe 1 or 2 girls born around the same time I'm due and tons of boys. Made me wonder if April showers was the debunked ion stuff -- or if it lies with where Easter falls. If it's a late Easter, many Christian women are in the middle of Lent, an almost 6 week fasting/"sacrificial" period! If it's an early Easter, women are indulging after said fasting.
Which is to say: I think months have just been given raps as girl/boy months because of what societal trends seem to slightly impact. Just don't go crazy eating tons of meat and vegetables in October, and your girl sway is still going to be as strong as any other month!
And for what it's worth, my mom was a baby conceived in early OctoberLast edited by Throwaway_panther; August 26th, 2018 at 07:03 PM.

My mom is an October baby and I got my daughter in November, also a boy friendly month, and I was from September!
In the studies that found this correlation, it was only a small %, but it was consistent over the course of time. Whenever anything changes the gender ratio even just a little consistently, scientists (and we) take note of that but I would not ever postpone a sway because of that. I mention it only for people who have an option, if they want to decide a certain way taking that into account, hey, great if it works out. But I don't want anyone to plan their TTC at a point in time that is not right for their families based on this since it's such a small thing and vastly outweighed by the other things we do to sway.!!!
