katie- I hope you are getting some help with the boys during your appts. I can't imagine trying figure all that out twice a week. At least you get to see Duncan a bunch!
I finished my birthplan! With #2 we went a little more spare on the plan figuring we knew our docs and were giving birth in the natural birth center. Problem was my drs hired a new ob who I was "lucky" enough to get on her first day and who proceeded to try to do everything NOT natural (broke my water and told me she was doing it in the middle of- tried giving me pitocin at 9cm). So this time my plan is a little more specific. The one thing I loved that I read in hypnobirthing was no reference to the pain scale. I always thought that seemed pointless as everyone's tolerance is different (and feel like a kid with the accompanying smiley face/grimace faces).

I've mostly been worried about how DS3 will be. And slightly about DS1 feeling more pushed out, because being older he can do a lot more things for himself. DS2 is just majorly excited.
DS3 is a huge Mummys boy and used to push others away from me. His much better now but still at times will say "no, he's my Mummy" (he uses he for both genders lol) He also at times will only allow me to help him do things, or to get things for him.
I was telling him this morning that next month I won't be able to just stop feeding the baby, or just stop changing his nappy and he is going to HAVE to let other people do things for him so he should get used to it now. DS2 said he wanted to help with the baby and I said he can but he wouldn't want to do pooey nappies. He said he would! So I tried to explain how its not as simple as when he goes and its one solid poo and a quick wipe and how messy it can get and ended up with them all giggling like lunatics at a story of how DS1 had filled his nappy with so much force I'd had to change his whole outfit, twice, in half an hour! Boys huh?!
But recently DS3 has started to just tell people off when touching my belly, and saying that the baby is "his baby" so I'm hoping this is a good sign, rather than just a baby who has come along and stolen his Mummy, he'll be HIS baby, for him to help love and look after.Feb 2006

Also I am so close to just getting up in that loft myself and getting the baby clothes out! DH keeps finding other things to do and planning other days to get up there. Now his saying once the bigger ones are back at school which is Thursday, so he wants to do it next week. But until the rest of my stuff comes I can't pack bags or boxes, I can't do my big clean until they are back to school, I need something baby related to do.

My parents are both retired and only live a couple miles away. They're always ready and willing to help! Thankfully, the two big boys are in school now so I only have to run DS3 over to them for my appointments. I'm trying to think of these appointments as a great way to pass the time. Between two weekly appointments and the boys having soccer twice a week, the time is bound to fly by!! And I keep reminding myself that I don't even have to count down to my due date anymore. I just wish I knew when they were going to induce me!

My boys go back to school Thursday, on the day I turn 34 weeks. I have my midwife appointment that day. But I feel like once they are back to school its going to fly by.
I have plans with friends and a visit from my Mum, the bigger two have their clubs, with DS1 being out 3 evenings a week and saturday mornings and DS2 being with him for 2 of those evenings and the morning (he will be doing all 3 evenings after his birthday in October too) Plus the general day to day stuff of being a Mum, and getting everything set up for baby now I have it all.
Suddenly not sure if 6 weeks is enough to squeeze it all into. The house is suffering from pregnant lady and an over dose of boy, what with the summer holidays so needs a good cleaning through as well.Feb 2006

My ultrasound, NST and check-up all went well today! We went ahead and scheduled the rest of my appointments for the next four weeks. It's not set in stone yet, but it looks like I'll be induced on October 7!! Not going to lie, I love the idea of Duncan sharing his birthday with the greatest woman I've ever known (my great-grandmother, who we would have named the baby after had he been a girl).

We are all so close now! It looks like katie is now officially the first one of us due. I do feel like I am going early this time as the stress my brother is causing me is hard to escape
. I can't wait until he moves out and then he can ruin his own stuff instead of mine. I got some 3rd trimester tea to try and will probably start that next week. I'm working on picking up the stuff I'll want postpartum, and thinking about meals to make. Getting so close!

It is def getting so close isn't it!!!!Kiara and everyone I hope all these babies stay in as long as they can without driving us nuts lol!!! Most of mine are now back at school, I have 1 start on Friday and 1 start nursery 2 and 1/2 days a week next Monday so it will literally be me and Dave in the house for half the week, see big families are really quite easy lol
I too have been trying to get the organise after the holidays done! my front garden looks like a used bike yard and back garden is just full of clothes, dumped from the paddling pool visits as its still quite warm
The big news here is that apparantly we are starting the loft conversion in 2-3 weeks! Its been in the pipeline for about 76 years but apparantly things will start soon! so this would be great, messy but great!!!

Katie that would be wonderful if the baby shared a birthday with your great-grandmother, especially as he couldn't be named after her.
ELP how very exciting! How long will it take? Is it likely the baby will arrive right in the middle of it all?
Today I seem to have a cold starting, have woken up with pain in my groin (both sides) with DS3 I had it on one side every day for the last 4 weeks so hoping this isn't my fate till mid-october now! Also my pelvis at the back is playing up. It always does in pregnancy after I dislocated it during a dance lesson years ago. I couldn't walk down stairs after putting DS3 to bed. Tomorrows school run should be fun!
As a side note, why when I was deciding how many children to have did I not realise that eventually I'd have to label and iron school uniform for all of them! I don't envy you that ELP!Feb 2006
