So gestational age is 5w2d and fetal age is 4w1d, usually fetal age is 2 weeks less than gestational age, so your measurement should have been 3w2d, so i think it is growing just fine, actually growing great.

But I think they were talking about gestational age not fetal age. So they were saying gestational age was 4w1d. Is that right 5?

No there was only a Gestational Sac found measuring 4w 1d. Nothing else, no yolk or anything. Just a very very small looking sac.

That is all they should see at 5 weeks. Your little bean has stuck, that is the main thing, and there is only 1 right? And it is in your uterus, so you should be very happy. Have you got another scan booked in? You should see more at about the 7 week mark, but you know that, you have done this all before, you will be fine, your numbers look great too.

That's where they started with me too! I wouldn't get too panicked or give up hope just yet Maybe they are off, or maybe the little bean is just about to go through a "growth spurt" and they caught him just right before that happened!

She didnt actually say? Am guessing gestational age as there was no baby to be seen?

The sonographer said 2-3 weeks although the dr may do another sooner not sure. Waiting for his call right now!!

Ok dr rang and he said the scan report showed there was actually a yolk sac in the gest. sac and measures 4w4d (so only behind 5 days from LMP) I will go for another dating scan in 2-3 weeks time. Bloods not back yet though but he said they would have risen now. So I guess it is safe to say all is looking normal now?

My bloods just came in too!! hcg is now 845 Woo Hooo!!! He said things look on par

5, That's wonderful, Don't worry now ..Relax.

If I go by my LMP my baby would measure WEEKS behind ..My cycle is LONG!!! I go by my O day it's more accurate.
