Emily I think some people just don't get it. I had my first when I was 21 and most of my friends are only now starting to think about babies. I always wanted a big family, at least five, and still do. Most people I do think I'm mad including my own parents. I figure that's ok!

If people don't get the importance of bringing another little person into the world then they are idiots. Careers are not the most important thing to everyone and I say that as someone who loves her job to the moon and back and works full time. The great thing about today's modern world is that women can stay at home or go back to work and raise a family if they choose. And the choice to have another was totally your own and no kne else has the right to comment.

I have also faced a lot of rude comments, appears people are insensitive than I thought!

The first comment I get when I tell people I'm expecting no 3 is "are you mad?" or you must be mad" this comment is closely followed by the second " are you hoping for a girl?" or " were you trying for a girl?" thirdly " how are you going to cope?" I have already received these comments in this order from at least 5 people! The audacity some people have!

Don't let these horrible people get to you, I know it's easier said than done but we need to keep our chins up for our own sanity and our little ones! This roller coaster is hard enough without having to deal with other people's probing judgemental and rude questions!

Dream - My best friend IRL is selling her house right now (because of a divorce so it's ugly all around) so I truly feel for you!! Its a shit process really! LOL! Also, re the superstition, let me share a little game I played with myself! When I first got pregnant, it was spring and my roses were beginning to bloom after winter... my white roses sprung forth tinged with pink this year! I was so convinced this meant I was pregnant with a girl... even my roses were turning pink! How silly is that?!?! Haha... clearly it just meant it cross pollinated with my red roses... hahaha Anyway I understand the need to look for every little sign!

Emily - You wouldn't believe the insensitive comments I've heard... I don't care to repeat them since I'm having a good day and working on making each one good now... but please know you are not alone! You know what I think? I think there is a fair bit of jealousy that comes from people when they find out YOU had the guts to do what they didn't! Or, that you are experiencing happiness they aren't... People are cruel! Brush it off with the quickness they are willing to run their mouths at!

Back from our scan. Got some lovely pics and the doctor really took her time explaining everything to us. The doctor even tried to look between baby's legs, but baby didn't let her.

Didn't see any gender clues, but am already absolutely in love with this little bean.

I also have a video, which I will hopefully upload later. But at the moment my computer is updating and driving me crazy.

And we have our next scan booked for 8th August, when I will be 17 weeks exactly.

I am here....Emily.....I have gotten some of the same comments, but I really dread the ones from family and friends now that I know gender. I am feeling low tonight.

I would love to do what DS2 does when someone says or does something he doesnt like - he says STUPID and then does a raspberry or a pretend fart noise. Ladybugs feel free to follow suit! At least in your mind
