Yeah, possibly. It's a REAL squinter (so light that I won't bother to post a pic) and the test itself was bent, so it took almost 25 minutes for the pink "fog" to clear up so I could read it. It could very well be an evap line. I'm not holding my breath, in any case, but I am a bit more hopeful!
I'm 9 dpo right now.

LaVieEnRose you are in my thoughts, so sorry to hear that.
Hoping you don't have to wait long to try again.
So do you have a BFP Lilith? I'm curious now!
I've had two natural births, the second one I used hypnobabies and I definitely recommend it. My labor was so relaxed and peaceful. I'm hoping for a home water birth this time around. I second that thought that if labor was that bad, a lot of us wouldn't be here trying again!
Now that the attempt is over I'm so nervous! Hoping I don't see AF's ugly face in April!Imy

Lavie, I'm so sorty to hear that. I so admire your positive attitude, and I hope this loss means you get pregnant all the more easily when you next O.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with me! I just love hearing about home births. And 3 of them is just awesome! (Though any birth is amazing.)
Rosie, I am excited for you to finally try. I have read the A/M/J sway thread and I know you've been planning for ages.
Girlie, that gives me hope! OMG, I hope I'm like you! I can only imagine how fast your next birth will be.
dreamingofwin, I'm sorry you won't be trying this month but I am optimistic that your dr visit will have good results. Would you like to try clomid? I think it's awesome you're considering a VBAC.
Lilith, thank you for your honesty. The worst pain I've ever experienced was the sounding for my IUD. They shoved this thick rod up my virgin cervix. The second worst pain I've had has been due to menstrual cramps. I've had 3 times that were so bad no amount/combination of high dose opiates/tranquilizers helped and I just vomited/cried/screamed for hours. Yeah, that bad. I will not be getting an epidural. One bc of the scoliosis issue, two the side effects, three I'd rather have IV opiates if possible. I've heard of nitrous/laughing gas being used and wouldn't mind that either. So your first was induced? I will definitely consider induction if I go late. I have heard pit is awful though. I'm sorry you had to go through that.
What brand is the IC you used?
Willow, yay for another happy birth story. How I wish I could be hypnotized! It sounds like we will be testing around the same time. Do you know when you Oed exactly/have a guess?
I did an attempt 3 hours ago. I'm starting my O pain right now so hopefully it works out timing-wise. Looks like my EDD would be Sagg/Cap cusp.Last edited by maidentomother; March 31st, 2014 at 05:51 PM.

Maiden I tested OPK this morning and was negative, so I'm assuming it was yesterday sometime. Cross my fingers we both get a BFP

Ooh hope this month is your month, maiden! I was induced because my water was leaking, but not broken. I've since learned that midwives just give you a pad and take your temperature every 4 hours if this happens, they don't jump to the drastic measure of induction! Ugh, I'm healed now that I had my amazing waterbirth with DS2, but I would LOVE to erase DS1's birth from my memory! It was traumatic.
The brand of IC I'm using is Blue Cross? I have no idea. They were super cheap, and came bundled with OPKs. My afternoon test came out negative, but I'm going to wait until tomorrow's POAS to come to any conclusionsMy Gender Dream came true, my family is complete!

maidentomother-- I've had 2 home water births as well! LOVED them and couldn't imagine having a "dry" birth LOL! My first was actually easier than my second. From the first contraction till the birth was 9 hours, but the first 8 hours were completely painless and I continued on with normal life! I had my first intense (transition) contraction 55 minutes before DS1 was born! My midwives arrived just 10 minutes before he was born and at that point I was already 10cm! He was born in 2 contractions (head, then body) and the first thing out of my mouth was "wow, that was easy!" So you can definitely have a great first birth! I think being at home and in the water (and having an intact water bag till I was fully dilated) is what made it so easy for me. I did Bradley Childbirth classes when I was pregnant with DS1 and HypnoBabies for DS2. You don't have to be able to by hypnotized to do HypnoBabies. They teach YOU how to put yourself into a state of deep relaxation. With HypnoBabies, you are able to walk around, talk, and change positions all while remaining in hypnosis. As a doula, I recommend Bradley for first time moms (because it covers sooo much info) and HypnoBabies for subsequent births.
LaViEnRose-- I'm so sorry about your loss. I hope the spotting ends and that you can try again soon. (((HUGS)))Me: 35 years old. Was an infant nanny and birth and postpartum doula. Now a full time SAHM.
DS1: Aug 2003 (my first home birthed water baby!)
DS2: May 2009 (my second home birthed water baby!)
Oct 2014
July 2016: Laproscopic surgery to remove a ping pong ball sized endometrioma on left ovary and 3 pea size fibroids on outside of uterus. Hysteroscopy to remove one larger "penetrating fibroid" inside uterus.
Oct 2016: Heartbroken after DH's vasectomy. Looks like my dreams of a daughter are gone.

I had a home birth, I wanted a water birth but my second decided to come 2 weeks 6 days early! The tub was one our midwife passed around to her clients and the people who had it called us the day he was born after he was out. Lol I literally had no diapers and had just barely got our home birth kit delivered. Plus my labor was only 3 hours long with my second so not much time to get a tub filled. I'd love to do it at home again, it was so blissful to be home!

My periods can be pretty bad but I would say that the contractions I was having were no worse than period pains. The pain stepped up after my waters broke but even then, it really wasnt as bad as I would have thought. Even when DS was coming out, yes that was the most painful bit but I remember thinking that I had read about a ring of fire and I didnt feel like I was on fire if that makes sense!
I do think its a good idea to look into it even if you cant be hypnotised as the relaxation tapes are so lovely, I used to listen to them every night before I went to sleep and I went into such a relaxed state. If only there was a similar tape for TTC!
LaVieEnRose - so sorry to hear- hugs to you
Lillith - sounds really promising, everything crossed!Last edited by stephk; April 1st, 2014 at 03:25 AM.
