Or you could take it to a local women's shelter or pregnancy center! That is my plan. I'd like to wash the outfits before taking them to the hospital anyway, and that way I pass it on to someone who will definitely appreciate it. Girl or boy outfit ... and if it's the girl outfit I end up giving away there will be a whole box full, LOL!
Jen! Girl you do get big, but only in the belly! I don't know why I carry so small ... we'll see if that remains the case with #3, but so far I'm not showing at all.
On the mat clothes, I'd like to make it to 16 weeks but that might be ambitious. I gave all my mat clothes to a friend who is due beginning of October so if I can make it til end of september that would be great! I'll see if I can find a pic of me preggers to post too!
AND yahooooooo for making it through last night! I am so excited to hear about today's appointments and maybe get to see a pic of that baby!
WP, I hope you get your boy too! Part of me does wonder if I will be more upset about not getting him because I swayed... or if I'll be Ok because I did all I could. Hopefully I just have a boy and don't have to figure that out :-) I'm going to take one of each outfits! Although kind of funny but DD2 was so big she didn't fit in the newborn outfit we brought, LOL, so we had to go buy something to bring her home in. We called her Clarapotamus for a long time because she was such a fat baby. And now of course the chubs are gone. Sigh. Anyhow FX for you tomorrow am!!!!
Lola, CHIN UP! Whether this month is it or next month or the month after, you are doing ALL YOU CAN and you will get pregnant. Symptom guessing is only fun to a point, when it starts to make you fret it sucks. 6 dpo today means you'll test Monday, right? I really hope this month is it for you; my hopes are high too. And ITA you go with the democracy! I bet your DH will be so thrilled either way that it will make it easier on you if it is another girl. OH! I saw on another thread you work in Columbia, SC! I worked there for a year! In 2002/2003. It's a great little town! I was working in the Bank of America building across from the University.
Ok gotta run but looking forward to hearing your appt update Jen!

Jen, you look great! I'm gonna have to find one of me @40wks with #1, I am bigger than you by far! In my profile pics it looks like a full size watermelon is lodged into my stomach and making its way out of my pants in the back. HORRIFYING. I have a feeling that it's not unusual to be in maternity clothes immediately with #3+.
Good point about washing the clothes.....see how long it's been since I've had a freakin' baby? LOL I think I'll be finding out either way, so probably won't have to do that, but donating or having a friend return is a good idea for sure.
So, B, you are not finding out for sure? I think I'll feel like I did all I could to sway, and my baby girl was just meant to be....I think it's really a great way to find some peace if you don't get a boy. What would kill me is if I dropped swaying from exasperation and had a girl. That would make me feel a bit guilty. I would even be ok with an oops baby because that one was meant to be also. I can't believe you are heading into 10 weeks though!

Oh, and Begonia, yep we live in Columbia, SC. It is a cool town! I know exactly where you worked, my studios are not too far from there, just up Main Street from the Capitol Building. And how funny, I moved here in 2003 from Charleston!

3pnb: No u/s yet? I guess I will have to come back on today
Your 5'8"? I am 5'6"....what I wouldn't give for a couple more inches.
Begonia: I love your idea about donating to a shelter!!! I always wash my clothes before hand too, so this will work out for us....now I just have to get pg.
Lola: You know they have maternity shirts that say "watermelon smuggler" on them. How big are your babies? 8lb range?
I think I would like to avoid maternity clothes as long as possible. I would rather everyone think I was fat. I know, sounds crazy, but with 6 children, family and friends enjoy sharing their rude comments. Hubby and I just like to avoid that as long as possible and just enjoy the pregnancy.thank you GD

WP, LOL at the shirt! I will definitely have to find one of those next time!!!! My babies were just 7.11 and 7.2, I just carry them completely outside of my pelvis and they just hang over like a sack of potatoes. Very low.....what was annoying about that was the sheer volume of old ladies and the like who would come up to me and say, "That must be a boy!"

On the shelter donation tip, we just had a very successful toy de-hoarding which worked beautifully. I told the girls about how there are lots of shelters and orphanages where sad little children are who have all sorts of problems, all that stuff. I am pretty realistic with them about the world....usually to teach them how priviledged and lucky they are to have what they do have, even if mom and dad are divorced, kwim? Anyway, I told them to think of how many toys they never play with anymore. Then I told them to think about how happy these poor little kids would be to have their new toys, and of course referenced good old Toy Story 3 (which makes me cry). I could barely get them to take a breath while sifting through....and many of them were toys they still liked, but they just wanted to give them to the shelter kids. It was really very sweet! Just thought I'd share in case anyone needs a good de-hoarding tactic, LOL!
