    I don't think I ever wrote down yesterday's food:

    7am: coffee
12pm: rice with yogurt and balsamic, 2 digestive biscuits, apple
5pm: 2 servings rice pasta with creme fraiche, parmesan, and leeks, zucchini and mushrooms sauteed in butter, 1 slice of fresh mozzarella/tomato from the caprese salad everyone else was eating
9pm: watermelon, chocolate wafer cookies, Sour Patch Kids
...and a whole lot of Diet Pepsi and Crystal Light in between

    Well done ladies!

I'm trying to write a meal plan which is healthy but helps me to keep off the weight I've lost (in the short-term at least!) but when I looked at the list after I wrote it it basically consisted of fruit, yogurt, cheese, bread, pasta, vegetables and sweets!! I actually can't bear the thought of eating meat and tonight DH and I had an Indian take-away and I ordered vegetable side dishes and have saved half for my dinner tomorrow. I really hope I can keep hold of some of the habits I've formed over the past 3 months because this was the first time in my life I was in control of my food! I'm going to try and stick with a lighter breakfast and only fruit between meals if I need a snack.

I'm going to do my last weigh in tomorrow. When I checked at the weekend I was doing well but today may have put paid to that!

Bravo, Z! I know I haven't lost my love of food - whenever I get the chance to cheat, I keep eating and eating .

I thought of you when I choked down a slice of toast for breakfast mocha! Bit annoying really, it used to be my favourite meal. I'm sure I can get used to it again!

    Here's today:

    7am: coffee
12:30pm: rice with plain yogurt and balsamic vinegar, peach, 2 fruit creme cookies
5:30pm: low sodium pizza made on a pita. I used low sodium tomato sauce, mozzarella and mushrooms. It was a large pita and had only 200mg of sodium, so it was a large portion and not too high on sodium even with the sauce and cheese. It was very low in calories, though, so when I finished supper I'd only had 700 calories for the day. I added 2 cobs of corn and 2 fruit creme cookies to bring the calories up a bit.
8pm: low fat vanilla ice cream with strawberries, Sour Patch Kids, apple

My calories still ended up being too low, at about 1460. Sodium was just under the limit, and protein was nice and low if I don't include the corn (about 32g).

In a few weeks I'm going back to my mother's house for my cousin's wedding. It's shaping up to be a weekend full of unavoidable cheating - a dinner at my aunt's house in honour of my Mom's 70th birthday, the wedding itself, for which I ordered the prime rib, and a lunch out with my brothers and Mom for her birthday. If I get pregnant this cycle, I should have my BFP over a week before the trip, in which case I'm fine...but if I end up with a BFN it'll be only a week before my next O. Why do I have something like this happen every month??!!

I agree mocha, it's life! The general overall picture has to be the most important thing. You can change your body with months on the LE diet and you can't undo it all in one weekend! Did you see the study I posted the other day which suggested that it's the change in a mother's condition just prior to O which is most important? So, you'd have a week to make sure your body noticed that change! The months of dieting beforehand are good too for the other stuff like lowering testosterone. Win-win!

I lost a lb this week and got to my goal weight

Well, I ate like a pig in the week before O (and the days before O), and I *might* have even put on a pound (though I've lost it again since then), so I guess that puts me in a pretty bad position

I hate all this - I just wish I could get pregnant without caring whether it was a boy or girl! It was soooo easy the first time, a lot harder last time, but this time - knowing it's definitely my last chance - is just downright stressful!

    ... but losing condition doesn't necessarily mean losing weight, it might just mean eating less nutrients or however else our bodies are responding to our diet and supplements. Also, we don't know what time period we're really talking about - it might mean the days before O, it might mean the months before or it might just mean since the last time you conceived. (I was trying to make you feel better earlier but it's landed flat on its face!). What I'm really saying is, we just don't know, and you have stuck with this diet and supplements for months on end. You hold your head up high and know that you did what you could based on the best information that we had at the time, ok? {hugs}

Thanks, Z - I know you were trying to make me feel better, I'm just feeling really down today. I caught a cold from my son and now have a sore throat and my nose is runny. Just feeling blah.
