I go on Monday for an ultrasound and to see my doctor. DH is freaking out that we're having more than one because of some studies that showed women with levels over 150 in one study and over 200 in another at 12DPO all ended up with twin or greater pregnancies. My 12DPO number was 297. I can't say that I have any intuition that I'm having more than one, although after his freak out I dreamed that night that I went for my ultrasound and they found triplets. Thanks for that DH. LOL

Oh no Immi, what happened? I'm so sorry. I was so excited for you and Pbn3 when you finally got your BFPs. This sucks.
Me: 35 years old. Was an infant nanny and birth and postpartum doula. Now a full time SAHM.
DS1: Aug 2003 (my first home birthed water baby!)
DS2: May 2009 (my second home birthed water baby!)
    Oct 2014
July 2016: Laproscopic surgery to remove a ping pong ball sized endometrioma on left ovary and 3 pea size fibroids on outside of uterus. Hysteroscopy to remove one larger "penetrating fibroid" inside uterus.
Oct 2016: Heartbroken after DH's vasectomy. Looks like my dreams of a daughter are gone.

Dpike, I understand it must have scared you but probably that's totally normal.

Bunnygirl, good luck for the ultrasound on Monday! Exciting to see how many there are lol. How would you feel if there were twins? Do you have pregnancy symptoms?

I don't feel much of pregnancy symptoms. Boobs are little bit sore, water tastes funny sometimes and feeling pressure in lower stomach sometimes but otherwise nothing else yet. I will probably do a clear blue digital today lol.

Imagine how we felt when at 21DPO my levels were 20,300 something and at 23DPO they were 20,500 something!! I can't remember the exact numbers but those were the ball park! I only had one DS and to this day he develops at a faster rate! He is the biggest 7 week old baby- he looks like he's 3mo old, and he is already rolling over, making eye contact/tracking objects, cooing, and smiling on demand! Crazy!!

I'd love twins, but I don't think I could handle more than that considering I already have 4 kids. I've conceived multiples before, but never carried them all to deliver. DS1 had a vanishing twin we didn't know about until after he was born. DS3 had an identical that never developed past 6 weeks. Years ago I conceived triplets a month-ish after getting a Depo-Provera shot.

I have symptoms, but nothing terrible. I'm usually minimal in symptoms anyway though. I have intermittent breast tenderness which is mainly just my nipples being sensitive to touch, not all-day aching or anything. I'm having intermittent nausea and some vomiting already. I'm mainly having terrible headaches and I'm not someone to get headaches aside from sinus pain around my eyes with allergies. I'm also having ridiculous bloat, like I look like my typical 5 month belly because bloating is so bad. If this keeps up it's going to make it hard to hide the pregnancy for very long.

Omg!! Bunny girl-good luck if it is triplets. . I'd take twins but triplets may be more than I need. The higher numbers does make sense though. The fact you have twins in your family and have concieve do them before make it very suspicious-I can't wait for you to find out!

I would thoroughly enjoy teasing DH if there is more than one because he gets so high strung and panicky about things, which amuses me greatly. Honestly, I'd be surprised if there were more than one, especially considering I have no signs of complications thus far. With my known multiples pregnancies I've had bleeding early on and eventually miscarriage of one or all babies. I have had light spotting between 4-5 weeks with all my pregnancies I ultimately delivered, except for DD. I've had none this time either so it makes me slightly more hopeful for a girl. I've read studies that showed girl babies produced higher HCG levels as well. I'm crossing my fingers that I have at least one pink one in there.

Bunnygirl so you might actually have more than one in there! My DH would probably die if we had twins lol. I've never heard that girls produce higher hcg levels.
