i wanted to be team green too ... but then i think about how different the births would be depending on gender yes a boy i would be happy but more like an expected happy if its a girl i would be over joyed! and i feel that if its a boy i should be over joyed as well and i know i will be if i know he is a he... thats just my logic...

Thorz, I don't see a nub either, that thing has to be a leg, so I think you're back to 50:50, but I understand you needing to brace yourself too and your attitude sounds really healthy.

Thorz I don't see any really clear gender clues based off of those pictures. Not sure why your doctor would tell you boy if there weren't any clear boy parts to see??

Thorz I don't see any gender clues either. If your tech was old school he would be going off a potty shot which is pointless at this early stage as both girls and boys have something sticking out!

Sorry I haven't been on for a while, sick DH then sick mummy and boys for the last week! Trying hard to catch up...

You girls will likely think I've lost it but as I drove up from Dayton to Cleveland today (visiting my best friend for a night while DH watches the boys), I stopped in Columbus at another 3d ultrasound place. I just wanted a clear confirmation with high quality pics of my little guy. DH doesn't know, ahem. They had a special for $65. So it is definitely still a boy but this experience was so much better than the last scan! I could clearly see the cutest bub and the tech was able to point out all the boy bits, scrotum included, lol. We even saw everything feom different angles, not just potty shot. He was totally showing off, haha. She is 100% confident that this baby will not turn into a girl and so am I. In fact, I actually enjoyed seeing him and I feel a million times better about it all. I will post the photos tomorrow. I am also looking forward to my 18-week anatomy scan now and pray that he is healthy.

So Thorz, maybe consider this place for an elective scan? They are called First Expressions and they are by Polaris.

Diva, not crazy at all, but great that you had such a positive experience and that you're feeling better about it now. I can imagine being 100% sure would kind of be a relief in a strange way too, it's the doubt/hope that is so hard to bear, but instead you can just get on with planning and adjusting to your little man.

Fish, you've been in my head all morning. I can't imagine how shocked you're feeling at the moment. Lucky you've got those two scans coming up next week so that you can see your little one and be reassured that things will be ok. I hope you're taking it easy and have lots of love and support around you. Xx

Sounds like it was more than worth the $65 to get confirmation and to be able to relax and just enjoy watching your baby. I'm so glad you did it and thrilled it helped you feel better. Congrats again!!

I can completely understand where you are coming from. It is stressful not knowing something that is so important to you. I think it is money well spent because now you can relax, start planning, and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. I know that is how I felt about my u/s. I had DNA saying this baby was a girl but I wasn't going to believe it until I saw a clear u/s. It was stressing me out knowing but not really knowing. I would have done the same thing if I were you (and my DH would probably think I had completely lost it)

I'm having a 3d scan on the 27th of April can't wait! I'm pretty sure it's another boy by my scan but like you say it's nice to know one way or the other! Anybody been having naughty dreams? Tmi I know ,
