I know.. my stupid dr. told me he didn't think he was over 7lbs! I was so uncomfortable. I told my Dr that if he didn't give me an induction date I wouldn't be coming back (ya right) My son came the day before i was to be induced.
Ds1 and Ds3 were both 3 weeks early @ 37 weeks

For me DS1 was 7lb 9oz (8 days late) 9 1/2 hr labour, natural, no drugs
DS2 was 8lb 9oz (6 days late) just under 4hr labour, natural, no drugs - even tho his labour was shorter, i remember it to be more painful than my first, dont know if size has anything to do with it or not.
And i am quite little - 5ft3, 51kg. I am hoping the next one wont be even bigger. My sister who is 5ft9, approx 52kg had 2 babies naturally with no drugs over 10lb!! So big babies seem to run in the family...

I was told (again by my stupid Dr.) that I couldn't carry a big baby because I am pretty small. I am 5"3 and was about 102lbs when I conceived DS2. But my mom was pretty small and my little brother was over 10 lbs

My nana said to me that she never over ate when she was preg she had 6 kids all under 8 pounds.. The dr told her not to over eat because it can make your babies bigger?? these days they say thats not the case but going back then she was told by the dr that no woman should have to give birth to a 9lb baby its just too big? These day 9 lbs is average isnt it?

My mum is 5"1 we were all about the 8 lbs but she never had a natural birth all c-sec they did an xray on her at the end of her pregnancy and said her pelvis is too small.. My mum has type 1 diabetes aswell i think thats why they checked to see if her pelvis was big enough incase we were huge!

I agree, height doesn't actually correspond to pelvic size, or in particular the pelvic opening

Lemon, I am sure the butt pain is a nerve thing. I will have to look it up, but I think maybe the vagus nerve is involved??
A friend of mine had a very swollen abdomen and pains recently. She has PCOS. It turned out her ovaries were making loads of follicles but not releasing them each month, so her ovaries were swollen and painful. Obviously I am not saying you have the exact same thing, but it is definitely worth having it looked at.
Pinkin, neither of mine were very big...6lb 13oz and 6lb 14oz. I had them both induced 2 weeks early for medical reasons and had quite a traumatic birth with DS1. When I knew I was going to be induced with DS2 I was worried about it being another difficult delivery, and although it was not a walk in the park, it was a thousand times better. I think every birth is unique and although there is no way of knowing what it will be like, at least your body has been through it once before, which can help. Having such a quick labour, your body would not have had a chance to gradually deal with the delivery. An average baby is between 7 & 8 lbs. 9 & 10 lb babies are considered big.
Lala, your situation with your DH sounds much like mine. My DH is more than happy to stick with 2 children and was only 1 day away from having a vasectomy when I told him I would really love to have another. Recently he seemed so distant and quiet that I was worried he was having second thoughts, but we were able to talk about it and he is onboard. He has a very stressful and busy job, so I think the thought of going back to dealing with a newborn is daunting at times. Our boys are quite big now (4 and almost 6), so they are pretty 'easy' in a lot of ways. They have been talking a lot lately about wanting a baby sister, so I know they are keen! Anyway, GL with your sway. I am sure it will all work out .
