    8th Dec:
-1 cup instant coffee with 1% unsweetened soy milk
    -1 Advent calendar chocolate
    -1 0% fat yogurt
-1 piece weight watchers danish bread with unsalted butter
-200grams (sort of... more like 150grams... my son ended up wanting my dinner instead of his!) of plain couscous with reduced fat cream cheese, black pepper, a little rosemary, and green beans.

    calories: 720
    protein: 42.3
    fat: 15.6
    salt: 0.8g

Gosh! Not counting the advent chocolate... I have no idea how much that was, but it wouldn't have been very much... they're the cheapie ones! No Green & Blacks quality...
And dinner was a big portion, too. Hmmm... think I'll have some semi-dark chocolate chips tonight, then. :P

Quark doesn't taste of much at all! I've used it when dieting as an alternative to spread when I have beans on toast and have used it as a low fat topping for lasagne or as a filling to chicken breasts mixed with herbs and spices. I don't find it mixes very well with pasta and I wouldn't choose to eat it!

It has no taste, really... mildly sour... but I actually thought it worked well with pasta, if not just mixing it on its own. It's nice when blended with other stuff, though. Gives it that creamy sauce vibe (say, mixed in with chopped tomatoes) without the fat...

    a festive one:
Co-Op own brand sage and onion stuffing contains less sodium than the Paxo equivalent (0.2g salt per 50g instead of 0.43g or per 50g or something close to that)

Weight Watchers do a parmesan and pesto pasta sauce which is lovely and tomatoey. 1/2 a jar (easily enough to coat my pasta) contains 86 calories, 0.1g sodium, 2.8g fat, 3.2g protein

I bet it's not vegetarian. That sounds lovely.

Stupid parmesan and being protected by EU cheese laws, and all that business...

Anyone in the UK... at Morrisons there are some "Meerkat Jellies" that are vegetarian... and for 1/2 the pack, it's 139 calories, trace protein, 0.1g fat, and trace sodium.

the jar is still in my kitchen.. I don't see anything on the ingredients to make me think it's not vegetarian. it was very nice really!

Usually it's the parmesan. Parmesan is protected by EU laws so has to be made according to original recipe, which uses animal rennet.

I usually do not buy anything that doesn't have "suitable for vegetarians" or a green V or some such to indicate it is.
