Not a magic bullet, and if you're in good condition overall it may be just something that you can easily shake off!!

Oh no lol, I'm not an alcoholic ! BUT I will admit, my last three girls where conceived after weddings in which my husband and I drank a bit more then we should have. I want to be honest so we all can get some good evidence that would point to the theory being a more pink sway...I did drink to the point of being drunk. My husband drank to that point too. Please note that although I do drink about 1-2 glasses of wine a week,I do NOT heavely drink on a regular basses . My Mother and Father- in- law are acohaulics the are the parents of 3 boys. My husbands grand father was an acohaulic and the had 9 kids all boys but two. My thought is maybe a night of a mother'sheavy drinking changes the ph drastically due to the body not being used to it? ....but then that's not the case for your Mom,grandma, and Aunt. Very interesting !

I've been pretty much teetotal for the last six years since conceiving DS1. However, if I do have a drink - maybe a couple of times a year - I like a small dram of neat single malt (all or nothing, me!). Any thoughts on how it *may* sway if I was to incorporate a couple of drams a week in lead up to ov? Also how on earth do we count cals for it? I'm leaning towards it being a healthier drink with nutrients, but not sure. Would help me a lot avoiding the big O is I was tipsy in our attempts sa I'm useless then! I'd also get away with it being close to Xmas

I think it will sway pink, if it sways. I looked up the nutrients and there weren't any to speak of. Jsut count the calories.

Well, DH and I had a lot of (mostly red) wine in our system when my last boy was conceived, we DTD -2, -1 and O day, it was during the Easter holidays and we were in party mode! It could be that we DTD too much for Pink or the oxidants in the wine made me too `healthy` We weren't swaying though, but partying mode also means lots of yummy, protein rich, calorie packed food. I was 10 kg overweight (still am!

The antioxidants in wine don't amount to anything compared to your overall diet as a whole.

I think it depends exactly what your drinking idk, b/c 2 of my boys (the last 2) were conceived during drunken intercourse. so I was thinking the opposite (if you want a girl) don't conceive when your drunk. lol

but then I just read what atomic just put so, the moms of girls, probably had diets, etc. that swayed girl and it was a coincidence.
