thanks, sunflower. I'm only 9 weeks this time around, so don't know the gender yet, nor whether or not it'll stick really (I've had lots of chromosomally abnormal pgs in the past). We'll see.
I'm wary of BA because in some cases, it can prevent pregnancy. (Google or ask atomic about LUFS). Ovulation is an inflammatory event, and studies have shown that follicles *do* tend to be smaller on BA. As long as you're taking a small enough dose, this shouldn't be a concern, but if you are very sensitive to NSAIDs and taking a larger dose (I was on 81 mg per day, per my RE's advice) it can negatively affect ovulation. I also have lots of bruising and became worried about the potential for serious internal bleeding.
Lots of women on here do take BA, and for many it seems to help with the thickness of the lining and implantation, but for others it may actually be detrimental. You certainly shouldn't feel like you're missing out on something of huge benefit because you're BF and can't take BA. I think it's one of those things that can be helpful, but has to be taken in the right dosage, and can even prevent pregnancy for some people's particular biochemistry.
FWIW, I've gotten pregnant very easily on my own in the past, and I've gotten pregnant very easily on Clomid, but I've never gotten pregnant on baby aspirin.

that's really interesting to know, thank you
most people I know tried the BA had good results with it so you're the first I've heard has had a negative experience. I guess there's no harm in trying it and aiming for a fast BFP

I've always had massive o pain on Clomid, too. It makes sense--your follicles are usually larger when you take it, so you'd feel more when they're about to rupture...
for your BFP this month.
I've never heard of anyone else having bad experiences with BA. As far as I know, most people have either had benefits, or no negative effects. Atomic does caution against taking too much, and I *was* taking a larger dose than she would have recommended for me, but I was doing this on the advice and under the supervision of an RE. I do tend to be very sensitive to meds in general, and NSAIDs in particular, so I think it's possible that it was interfering with getting pregnant for me in some way. But it might not have been the BA (after all, I'm also old, and for sure have egg quality issues). Still, I think it's possible. But it's rare, for sure.
I think there's no harm at all in trying BA for a few months, but I do think it's important to follow atomic's advice on dosage. For sure, don't take too much!

Onebigwish, I can't tell you for sure, but it seems like that amount would be fine... As long as you are not experiencing bruising or having trouble with excessive bleeding, and as long as it doesn't seem to be interfering with getting pg, I can't think of any reason not to take it. Why 7 months? Is it taking you that long to get pg? If you're taking it for ph, there's no need to start ahead of time, because it acts pretty quickly. If you're taking it to improve blood flow to your uterus/thicken your lining, then you can start after AF, the cycle that you're trying.
If it's taking you much longer than it usually does to get pregnant, and you're not doing any other sway tactics that could drastically reduce fertility (this was me; I was attempting each month on O-1 and even had 2 IUIs), then maybe it's time to think about whether baby aspirin is causing problems. But as I said before, I really think this is highly unusual. Just because it *might* possibly have been an issue for me doesn't mean you need to worry about it.

I am taking it days 3-7, what time are u guys taking it? I am on day 3, so I am very happy that tomorrow is day 4. Almost done, and my dr wants to give me the ovulation shot on Saturday morning. So, it should be interesting if it works. I don't know if I will continue doing clomid next month if it doesn't work this month. I will have to see how bad side effects are and if the side effects last only for days when I take the pill, or will it be for the whole month. Have any your guys done the shot? I did notice today, I had a headache and makes me feel light headed. I am thinking this is definite side effect, but for example I don't feel anything now. it just lasted about 4 hours after i took it. Someone mentioned to me that it is better to sway for a girl to take in the morning hours, but I am taking it around 2pm. When do you guys take it?

Has anyone suffered from bad lower back pain after day 5 or Clomid? I was picking up my toddlers toys and suddenly I felt this pain on my lower back like a muscle pull. It's not cramping, it's like dull muscle pain. I've heard that Clomid can cause this. Has anyone had it, how long does it last for? I had 2 paracetamol (can't take ibuprofen before O as it stopped me ovulating before). It is a bit better now but I am afraid it will come back.
I hope I fall pregnant straight away because if this pain is a Clomid side effect and if it lasts I'm not sure I want to continue with it.
By the way, I am taking it only for swaying purpose (naughty, naughty!).Mum to Lucas13/12/1989

Hi girls I wondered if anyone had taken 1.5 pills of 25mg dose of clomid? I'm a little nervous of twins using 50mg as I'm coming off birth control pill too and have a slightly underweight BMI. But at the same time not sure if the 25mg dose will do much to sway pink. My clomid is purely for swaying purposes. I thought I could buy a pill cutter so the dosage is accurate and take 1.5 of the 25mg tablets for days 5-9. Any thoughts on this? X

I do think the girl maple she took clomid, and I am pretty sure she took 25mg, she did end up with identical twin girls, but of course u know identical is random. I think it is less of a sway that is what I heard. I also do not want twins, but my last cycle i took 50mg on day 3-7 and i produce one follicle. I am praying this cycle is the same and I will know more since i am going to find out on Monday. I am also taking it just for swaying. I really want it to work!! I did not have any side effects with the clomid at all. Sorry for your back pain, but there is a chance that the back pain won't happen next time too. The first month of clomid, i felt a little off but i also think i took clomid with not enough food in me. I now make sure i take the clomid after i eat lunch. I noticed this cycle I felt perfect. the first month i took it for some reason i couldn't sleep at night, this time I was good to go and I slept very well. I would give it two months at least and see if your then still has the same pain again. I hope the pain does go away, that stinks!
