I feel the same. I can tell you what helped me out. I slowly made sur I defriend all friends with girls and started builiding up new friendships with only boy moms especially those that are in the age where they would not go for another one ;-) nasty I know, but it really helped mento cope with my Jealousy. For me this gd problem has changed my personality. But its great to meet with friends that have boys only and no gd at all to see that this is my problem because they looknat things different. And in these moments I don' t miss the dresses and the pink stuff because there is still a lot fun I can have with my boys instead. But then there are these dark moments, dreams at night... I told my Doc I don' t wang to hear the gender of my third before so I feel strong during pregnancy. But I know its gonna be tough to stand the coments when hes finally born next year. ... I am scared.hoping that a charming little baby boy will make them all shut up...

Amy I hope your GD goes. I'm fine now, time is a healer. I won't lie and say that I don't want a daughter because I do but I'm now completely smitten with this little guy xx

I'm sorry you didn't hear pink, but huge congrats on a healthy baby, looks like such a cutie too! I just wanted to say that Though it's hard. I try not to be jealous of other people because a lot of them are unhappy with their gender makeup, people just don't say anything. I have a friend with one of each, I figured she was smug and contented, and I was jealous but it turned out she was actually heartbroken to get a girl after having a boy because she desperately wanted to give her son a brother to play and grow up with. Funny how one persons nightmare is another's dream! Xxxxx

That is always hard for me too 3littleladies. DD3 was supposed to be the boy so any time I see a friend effortlessly get GGB or BBG it guts me. I've gotten better but with all these New Year's babies being born in the past few weeks it drags some old GD to the surface.

Would make me sad too NBP, if I would have three girls and one boy I think my life and happyness would be different...

It's so true Hopeful Monster. I would have been exactly like that with my 2nd. I really wanted another boy so ds1 would have a brother and didn't realise how much until my scan confirmed boy. I never ever wanted a pidgeon pair and know plenty of other who don't either. As you said one persons dream is anothers nightmare. I never heard of swaying until after I was pregnant with my 3rd (joined here the same month) so never knew of GD but now my heart breaks when I see people suffering with it and wish everyone had their dream family make-up.

Retrolove you sound like such a lovely person with such a kind heart and this little man will be so lucky to have you as his mammy.

Thanks all. I guess we don't know what others want and only hear what we want to hear like people saying one of each is perfect.

My 20 week scan is on Monday, looking forward to seeing him again. He is always kicking me now xx
