Gotcha! Well it could be just her position or the placement your midwife placed the tape measure. It *could* be lower fluid levels or restricted uterine growth. That is probably why they want you to have an ultrasound. That being said, I bet it is nothing to worry about! I measure ahead then behind from time to time too. Try and not to worry! Keep us posted!

Oh and when I had low fluid levels with my DS1, I was measuring 2 weeks ahead so go figure! It really is all about the baby’s position the farther along you are.

No just from her measurements on my stomach... she measured just fine at our scan at 20 weeks.

This is similar to what happened to me. My baby measured small at our 32 week growth scan. He/she was two weeks behind via skull and stomach circumference.

I've had ultrasounds ever since. The first was another growth scan and placenta Doppler which showed baby was still growing which is good, but the cord was restricted. So the rest of my US's were fluid checks cuz it's the first sign of placental deterioration.

My fluid was at 7cm at 36 weeks, 5.9 at 38 weeks and then 5.5 yesterday at 39 weeks. So my belly has always measured small since baby is small and fluid is low! But baby is otherwise totally healthy! They always monitor the heart cuz that's obviously most important alone with movements!

It def is scary girl but as long as her little heart is strong and she's wiggling for you, she will be great!!! Hang in there lady!

Thanks so much friends. It's just tough after my good friend's baby passing last week in labor... and he was small. My midwife thought perhaps that could have affected the cord strangling him... the placenta was deteriorating and wasn't able to make it through labor. So of course I'm just a little nervous. I would usually be thinking and preparing for labor and not thinking these things. Thank you all

Yay Nann!!!!
I've seen many women labor with oligohydramnios and do beautifully. Try not to worry! Can't wait to see him or her. Thinking of you tomorrow or the next!
