Alexis soy can for sure mess with your O; I know Cemas had a crazy, long (I want to say 50 some days?) cycle from the soy. But I also know another gal from IG whose O moved up early from it! I took it one cycle months ago, like maybe November, and it didn't change mine. I never took it again b/c it didn't do anything + for me. So who knows?!? You're smart to start the OPK's already!

Re: testing and the holding I HATE that. I'm a frequent pee-er What I did was drink some in the am, stopped drinking by 9, had a pee at 10, then held it til at least 1 (I did have a bit to drink in the 3-4 hour wait) and would take my 1st OPK of the day somewhere around 1-2. Then I would drink some more, pee at 3, and hold til 6-7 to take the next one. I do think the holding for 3 hours minimum is key to getting an accurate read!

Re: timing, I would just try to DTD every 2-3 days and hope for the best ... ideally when it comes to getting the +OPK you won't have DTD for 48 hours. Don't stress it too much for sure .... I think diet is waaaaay more important. But I totally understand wanting to get timing "right" since I was definitely up in arms about it myself when it came to the actual attempt. And I ended up with 2 attempts 24 hours apart But whatever will be will be, I'm happy with all the other stuff I did

How many days of +OPK do you get? That is the other thing I've heard about the soy ... it can give you a really strong O. So you might end up with 2-3 days of +OPK if you've not had that before.
I have absolutely no idea how many +opks I would get. This is my first cycle using them. I should have started them earlier so I would know, but we are on a tight budget and I'm lucky to even be able to sway and buy all the extra food/supps that I normally don't buy. DH is being a great sport about things as he really wants a boy too I'm hoping the soy does give me a strong O and get a couple of days of +opks. That and temping I'll think I'll do ok on bedding. I guess I won't stress too much about the timing. I think 2 day abstinence is good enough for DH's sperm count.

I think I'm doing well on the diet. Maybe not as well as some of you girls but it's a HUGE change from what I usually eat lol! I am by no means a salt eating person! I just hope it works.

Alexis I think you're in a good spot to have a GREAT sway, so really ... don't sweat the timing. There's a thread on here somewhere (I'll see if I can find it, shouldn't be too far back) where we asked the boy moms to say what they did as far as timing/abstinence when getting their boys, and it was all over the map. Timing is probably the hardest thing to control so take comfort in the fact that the rest of it (what diet, exercise, supps you do) is totally within your control. Good luck and keep us posted!

Jen I totally read your sway before, and commented, and forgot, LOL! Can't believe you got that BFP over 2 weeks ago now, almost 3!

jen. sorry to hear about your scare today. Like everyone else said brown blood is old blood and probably nothing to worry about, but I know how hard it is to not worry after a loss. Thinking of you.

Kris-sorry about the bfN, they suck
But u are still early. FX

Iluv- glad you seem okay with the bfn. Are you attempting in July?

Well I am roughly 4-5dpo (ovulated last Thursday, not sure if I count that day or not?)
I already feel like I am out. Some mild lower tummy cramping today
It sucks as this was my last month swaying so I am really hoping for a BFP!!

Princess count the day after you ovulated as CD1, so Friday. That would put you at 4 DPO today. I'm sorry you're feeling down about it already... I hope you get your BFP this month!

Alex, i agree with B with all the great advice she's given you. GL with your attempt. I took soy once & didnt ovulate at all & ended up with a 70day cycle!

B, thanks i did what i could with my sway & the rest is not in my hands. I would love to not find out but i know i couldnt resist asking on the day besides DH wants to know too. Are you testing on Wed, how you feeling?

Princess, i hope this is your month!

Babydes it will be hard for me to not find out, but DH has always wanted a surprise so when he agreed to a 3rd it was something I agreed to do. And now I'm thinking I'll be OK with it, but I know when I am actually there getting a scan I will be beside myself wanting to know! I'm hoping I'll get a good nub shot so I can at least have a guess at it.

I think I'm going to test tomorrow, LOL! I feel OK today, my nausea is still here but it really could be tied in to my allergies. We'll see ... but I'm ready to jump on the POAS train and see where it takes me :-) A BFN tomorrow (8DPO) is quite expected, and really, I'm 100% OK if it didn't happen for me this month. Part of me doesn't want it to be over yet.

Cheers, Lola! That is one big reason I will be a-ok with a BFN ... I have a super fun girls weekend planned in July, and it would be a wee bit less fun if I'm knocked up. And a heck of a lot less fun if knocked up with m/s. SO ... enjoy yourself now, b/c before too long you'll be a pg party pooper

Jen ITA ... I will nubsess to no end, but I'm really on board with waiting. I do think it will be fun, boy or girl, to have that moment at birth. If I'd done it once already I might not be as into it, but since we've not yet had one that way I am going to go with it and try (try try try) not to fret about gender much once I'm pg. Have you had a "surprise" with gender at birth yet? I am so glad to hear no more spotting! When is your appointment? I know you scheduled it but now can't remember when.

I'm excited to POAS tomorrow, LOL! Even though I know the odds of it being BFP are slim to none I really can't decide if I want a BFP or BFN anyway so am more or less just curious to know the answer either way, and a test at 8dpo won't really tell me much. But it's a start!
