Hah how funny I am maybe 30 mins drive from Manchester I never dreamed you would be so close! My local EPU does scan for reassurance I thought they might all be similar. xxx

Hi girls
.
Bella here, just conceived baby no three. Ttc a little boy was fun! On holidays so eating loads!! Lol! I will have to lose some kg pretty soon
. Ah well, it had been fun!! Did a test yesterday. Positive at 10dpo but so faint you have to carefully look at just the right angle and with a squint! Lol! Today's was still faint but you could see it just by looking.
Looking forward to getting to know you all. I am a bit of a birth junkie. Home birthed after a c/s my second daughter and am a sometimes doula. Of anyone wants to talk birth I am all ears, but I will try not to offer to much unsolicited advice
Happy healthy babies, pregnancies and births for you all!

Hi everyone! I have some catching up to do but I'm still around. I have my first ultrasound on Monday and I'm feeling a little nervous. I do feel pregnant (nausea, fatigue) but its so different to my last pregnancy that I've questioned if there's any activity in there. I'm just trying to prepare myself for the worst.
Had some other stress going on. DHs job made some changes and now they want him to travel to see clients almost every week and we never wanted a situation where he's gone overnight. No more money, just away from the family longer. Nice...huh? If he doesn't do it, he's out of a job. They don't care why he's needed at home. We need the income and health insurance so he's got to keep the job until he finds something else. Kind of bad timing for job issues

Do you mind me asking which hospital that is? As i can always ask my midwife to refer me there if its not far? (Dont worry if you dont want to say - i get the whole internet safety thing lol!) Or it might be the other one i can register at, which i will if i can get an early scan!
Clearly the north rules lol!
Hello bella! Glad you found us
I am 5 weeks today, did my last test this morning and there was a bold line before the dye got to the control window never mind the control line lol. I know it doesnt mean much in the grand scheme of things but it makes me feel happier that at least the hcg is rising!!

Not tried tescos but I like the superdrug ones they've given really nice lines and not bank breaking at about £2 each.
That's so rubbish about your hubbys job gurly!! I really hope something turns up. There's a lot of it going round atm, mine just got dismissed. I'm pissed off that he'll miss out on paternity leave and pay because of the timing of it!
I'd love to hear birth advice Bella! I wanted a homebirth with my first but they decided to come at 35.5wks. I wasn't sure I was actually in labour and they said go in to be checked but by the time the hospital bothered to examine me I was already 7cm! Not sure if I could risk a homebirth if I'm likely to go early again but I really don't do well in hospitals!

Id love a homebirth, but im not sure hubby would go for it. Im hoping i can do the birth centre this time as i had dd1 at 36 weeks, then had group b strep with dd2 so was in hospital both times. I bled a lot after dd2 so my sensible brain is telling me to go to the birth centre attached to the hospital just in case!
I suppose its worth asking hm? I know my midwife was always of the opinion you cant predict the second birth off the first so hopefully yours might be the same
I did hypnobirthing with dd2, it was amazing!! Can't wait to do it again this time
